Depends where you are playing. Best BJ rules for DD are at El Cortez downtown. Only downside is they will sweat your action.

Well, if you want a decent game, you "might" want to venture in this joint. If you are counting bet sporadically. they will hoover around the table with a small $500 buy in. their SD game is GREAT. you get a good dealer you can easily get 6-8 rounds heads up. you wont find a good SD game in a carpet joint. they use to have DD at the B and Mirage for $25 a hand, but the cut sucked

well i guess i will have to check this out,but really its got to be 15-20 years since ive been in the el-cortez.I go downtown at least twice every trip to las vegas and recently ive been liking downtown more that the strip anymore. My early days in vegas was all downtown for me until it went trashy and the strip boomed, but now i like the downtown more and more

+1 Best little known secret and vastly overlooked. If you are going to play serious money this is where to go. Let them sweat, who cares.

yea i'm going to bigbet cause i really don't play at any casino's on the strip anymore.I stay off the strip(at the orleans)and do most of my gambling there or downtown in their casino's.I go to south point, but don't like their blackjack there as it's different, hard to explain but some tables on a blackjack pay even money and i'm not down with that shit, but i can't tell you the last time i played on the strip at table games

As the link above points out..... Most places with a lick of sense understand that players won't stand for the hitting soft 17 crap if they are a real BJ player. Looks like most places DO NOT hit the soft 17 if you are playing 25 minimum or greater. Reasonable.

Lots of funny little deals nowadays. Like all the income from penny slots. This is largely because they lure morons to those machines and then they are influenced to play multiple dollars per spin.
