It's been a case of constant double-teams and Kurt Warner's dink-and-dunk style this season that has limited Fitz's yardage. But the All-Pro receiver is blaming himself. "There's definitely a lot of things I need to improve on to get back to playing at that clip. But rest assured, I'll continue to bust my hump to get myself back there," Fitzgerald said.

Fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief. Fitzgerald has tweeted that he is fine and he expects to practice Wednesday, though he'll almost certainly be limited. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Fitz is walking without a limp and could play Sunday. It's OK to pencil him into starting lineups, but be sure to check back later in the week for an update on his status.

He's on track to face the Lions on Sunday. The Cardinals need a win after losing to San Francisco on Monday Night Football, so Fitz isn't going to be "rested." Receiving clearance to practice Wednesday is a sure sign that Fitzgerald's knee sprain isn't severe. He'll remain an elite WR1 fantasy start.

Fitz says he feels better than he did Wednesday and still plans on playing Sunday in Detroit. Barring a late-week setback, Fitzgerald belongs in fantasy lineups as our No. 2 fantasy option at wide receiver against the Lions' generous secondary.

Fitzgerald, who's missed just one game since 2006, said there's "no doubt" he'll play in the choice matchup. His participation in Friday's practice was "limited," but the Cardinals routinely limit players with even minor nicks. Fitz appears to be ready to start, but check back Sunday morning for confirmation.

Larry Fitzgerald - WR - Cardinals NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that Larry Fitzgerald (knee) is expected to play on Sunday against Detroit.
Fitz was limited in practice all week after suffering a bone bruise and MCL sprain in his right knee last Monday night. It looks as if he's a go, so get him in your fantasy lineups against the Lions and their porous defense. December 20 - 8:43 a.m. ET
