New Jersey, Atlantic City; Gambling fans in New York were forced to flee the food court in a Queen's casinos on Friday night after dozens of people began fighting.
Following the opening of a Fat Tuesday inside Resorts World Casino, Queens, three people were arrested and several patrons were left with serious injuries after a fight broke out in the food court.
The crowded casino enjoyed a swell of visitors on Friday night after a new food and drink outlet celebrated its grand opening with an offer on daiquiris. Unfortunately, after the lines swelled to unmanageable proportions, tempers began to flare and a small group of males began fighting.
The incident quickly escalated and within minutes a mass brawl had broken out. As well as CCTV video of the casino fight, a number of revelers were able to record the action via their phones. Within minutes the videos had gone viral and police were able to apprehend three men involved in the initial argument.
Despite reports from various new outlets suggesting that hundreds of people may have been involved in the riot, the New York Daily was quick to note that it was only dozen or so people. Commenting on the incident, a representative for Resorts World Casino, Queens, said that the venue will be reviewing its operating policies in the future.
