Wife's birthday coming up - and she has older/slow laptop and complains - so i want to buy her a new one.

She does the standard stuff - Pinterest, e-mails, etc..
But also does some other things (online courses, podcasts, etc..)

so she doesnt anything crazy fast (like for hi-res games) - but still want something good/quick.

Any opinions on what to get?
or where to get from? (Amazon? Best Buy?)

Thanks!

Haven't had to buy a laptop in years since get one for work

she does have an iPad.....
would it make sense to get one of those keyboard/mouse attachments for that?

The other thing is she always has tons of windows open (for classes, doing research, etc..) - which isn't very user friendly with the ipad all the time

I have a Samsung Chromebook and I love it. Bought it mostly for traveling. Battery lasts for 6+ hours of movie watching.

For a daily laptop it's incredibly light and fast enough to do just about everything. Looks cool too.

Only downside is that you have to be online to do certain things since it's a laptop that's meant to be online. There are offline things you can do too though. Not good for gaming since it can't run PC games or anything but I like it a lot.

I have a Macbook air, perfect if you're not a gamer.
