He is probably sick and tired of catering to Saban. Saban is a control freak and does not like sharing credit even when credit is due. Kiffin is made to be an OC not a HC and he is a west coast guy. Good fit and moving back to the NFL is a good move for him, not Saban.

He probably couldn't get out of there fast enough. I wonder if Satan will go back to his old offensive blueprint now that he loses Kiffy and has to replace around 10 starters on offense?

Did this happen?

Kiffin really redeemed himself as a coach this year. What he did at Bama was very, very impressive. He took at 1st year starter (who was the underdog to win the starting job) and set several Bama records. Plus he was well behaved under Saban's watchful eye.

If I was an AD or GM I would never hire the guy as a head coach, but as an OC he'd have to be among your choices/considerations.

I was not for the Kiffin hire when it was announced he was coming to Tuscaloosa.

But I'll be the first to admit he did a nice job with Bama's offense...especially with a new QB. The players like
him and he was well received by the other coaches. Kirby Smart said Lane kept the coaching meetings loose.
More importantly...Saban liked him as a coach and a person.

If he gets the opportunity to go back to the NFL as a coordinator I believe he should move. He would make more
money and his best chance for becoming a head coach again is proving himself in that league. I agree with Coach,
not sure a major university would want to take a chance on him after Tennessee and USC.

Kiffin does belong on the West Coast.....His looks (and body language) fits-in with that California crowd (i.e. S.F.). l always felt he was in
trouble (culturally) they day he set-foot in Tuscaloosa. Look what happened up the road previously (Knoxville). He was run out-of-town
fast...Win, loose or draw those Volunteer fans don't mess around.

Lane Kiffin will be OC at Alabama this season....

He's represented by power agent Jimmy Sexton who is notorious for floating his clients
for other jobs.
