Well, had a great night in college hoops, did a little more handicapping and am playing the following for tomorrow's matches:

L Glover ML -155 (over A. Hansen +125)
R Allenby ML -155 (over P. Hansen +125)
R Goosen ML -165 (over S. Hansen +135)
D Johnson ML -135 (over C. Villegas +105)
S Cink ML -165 (over E. Molinari +135)
Z Johnson ML -160 (over F. Molinari +130)

So, obviously, it seems I am against the Molinari brothers and anyone with the last name Hansen. Also riding the D Johnson train, as I feel this will be an entertaining match. I will be in the car all day, so hopefully the commentary will keep me well informed.

BOL to all, and my writeup of the Mayakoba will be sometime tomorrow evening.

Best of luck Lance, I didn't care for much of the opening round odds. I have a hard time betting favorites of over -140 or more. Man what do you have against the name Hansen lol.

You must be a big a golf nerd as I am, as I too filled out a bracket. My elite 8 was:

Stricker (beating Fisher)
Poulter (beating Kuchar)
Toms (beating Kaymer)
Donald (beating McIllroy)
Westwood (beating Els)
Ogilvy (beating Stenson)
Cink (beating Schwartzel)
Casey (beating Z Johnson)

looks like we agree on 4 of the 8. Betting these matches, certainly passes the tme at work quicker the rest of the week,

Good Luck to you this week.

4-2 today, which was basically about breaking even since the payoffs weren't great. Very fun to listen to while driving all over the state today, hopefully I can get some good odds for tomorrow.
Sounded like Els was playing well, and Weir putted lights out, which at this course, this time around means alot.

Not betting the Mayakoba, but imo I would look at Jerry Kelly, Charles Howell III or Briny Baird. If you can bet the field, might not be bad either.

Well, had another good night in college hoops, but I think I will leave m wagering on golf this weekend to the Accenture.
I will post those picks in another post.
Here's the short and sweet look at this week's Mayakoba.
I don't think Duval is worth a bet this week, until he can come out and go back to back tournaments and prove something, I think he is a waste of money.
As for my strong leans this week, if KJ Choi can get back to putting the ball well, he is the hands down favorite in my book this week. He shouldbe playing in Arizona this week, but took a back seat to a kid who is taking full advantage of the limelight.
Charles Howell III is a safe bet if you could place a wager on a top 10 finish. He's the #2 guy for me this week.
Mark Wilson is the defending champ here, and should be worth a small wager.
Alot of people love Briny Baird, hell, I've started him in my fantasy leagues for years. However, he always seems to post big numbers early, then fade when the weekend comes.

Long shots of the week, would be Jeff Maggert, Kevin Stadler and Billy Mayfair.

BOL to those betting this week!

OK, back to the main event of the weekend, the Accenture Match Play.
Luckily for me I am betting only matchups this time around, or I would have lost, as alot of folks did today by betting on Stricker and Stenson.

onto Thursday.

Here are the bets I like tomorrow:

Ishikawa -165 over (McGowan +135) Honestly thought Ishikawa would be alot higher.

Ian Polter -155 over (Scott +125) Scott played well, but this type of tournament is built for Polter who I have in the final four.

Kaymer -155 over (Clark +125) C'mon, Tim Clark is using a yellow ball for God's sake.

Wavering on playing Wilson @ +160 over McIlroy, will sleep on this one.

Staying away from Allenby and Donald.

Y.E. Yang -115 over (Ben Crane -115)

unfortunately, no. I really just tail some of the better (in my opinion) cappers in the college hoops forum. Tonight I had Maryland, UAB, Florida St and Temple, lost with St Johns.

good to know just out of curiousity since it seems you do pretty well what cappers do you tend to follow, btw thanks for all your posts regarding golf. i have followed golf for years now and i would contend that your insight seems to be pretty on point and usually always very sound. i have recommended many of a friend to follow your golf posts on this site!! keep it up and hope to hear back from you soon

well, yesterday sucked outright. 2-5 on my golf picks, and a losing night in college hoops. But that's ok when you're still playing with house money.
Thanks for the kind comments guys, I will continue to handicap golf as best I can.
As for the cappers I follow in hoops, they are billhill99, jbragg10 and carolinakid.

OK, on to the 3rd round in match play.

Large plays on:

Ian Poulter (vs VJ Singh) ML -170
Luke Donald (vs O Wilson) ML -160

Medium play on:
Stewart Cink (vs C Schwartzel) ML -135

I think the best players shine today as I am treating this as "moving day" which is the Saturday round in normal circumstances. So with that, I have double bets on Poulter and Donald and a bet and a half on Cink.

BOL all!
