These guys do NOT deserve to be in Greece right now.

Lamar Odom is not good at all. He has stunk for years. Marbury shoots worse than my grandma lol

How many charges can Odom make before he learns the rules?

Marbury definitely should be nowhere near a national team again. If I was coach, I'd file a restraining order against Star-burst.

Odom has played hard at times. But I feel one good season last year in the NBA doesn't make up for the previous 7 of failed drug tests, egos, crackhouse arrests. etc.

The only reason Brent Barry didn't get selected is because he didn't fit the NBA's "image". What the hell qualifies these NBA morons to select the team anyway? Who decided they should get to pick and choose who represents us?

i heard something interesting today during the game. i always thought that all pro athletes around the world would like to come to the greatest country in the world to play in the greatest league in the world and make the most money in any league in the world. but it sounds like you can make big money overseas and be a star overseas. plus their families are all over there and they would maybe only sign for the league minimum here. makes sense that u.s.a. is having trouble in the olympics. lots of nba-caliber guys who CHOOSE not to come here to play are just as good as our guys.

also, i think what this team is missing is that one outstanding take-the-game-over type player who is a winner and will not let the u.s.a. lose - like michael jordan, magic, or kobe bryant. its too bad.

I think Marbury sucks but Odom is playing out of position in the Olympics. He'll do well for the Lakers.

Like I said before if Larry Brown had his Piston starting guards Billups and Hamilton he'd be in a position to win.

It was sorta nice today to see a basketball team knock down most all the foul shots and make smart plays at the end. Havent seen that in a while.

Odom is a solid player...I totally agree Rip Hamilton would have been a nice fit and Billups too...the Lithuaninas are so fundamentally sound...I cannot understand why Jasekavitus(SP) isn't in the NBA...the guy is a poor man's Steve Nash...not quite the dribbler but he may be a better outside shooter...he should be in the NBA , you can't tell me he couldn't fit in nicely for some teams.

IMO,

US just does not have enough outside shooting to overcome packed in zones. US will not win gold.

Would you not agree that the whole Pistons team would do better than this bunch?

I truly think we needed this beating to wakeup USA basketball. Since the Jordon led Bulls thing ended NBA basketball has gone in the sewer.

Amazing people could mention kobe in same breath as Jordan and Magic.

This beating wont wake up usa basketball, nba not only has bad players, it has bad coaches, bad gms, bad rules, and finally the fan base of the nba is mostly ignorant to what basketball is all about.
