He made some bad ball security mistakes in that playoff game.
But you have to wonder what happens if they don't blow that call at the goal line. Even with the Chargers front seven dominating the offensive line of the Raves, the chargers wore down late. The game plan, in that sense, was definitely good. Imagine if they got anything out of the offensive line or out of Lamar for the first three quarters. There was also a very big holding penalty in that game (no comment on whether it was accurate or not).
Anyway, i hope Lamar keeps getting opportunities, as he is a winner.
But it is going to be tough in that a lot of these coaches have systems they want to employ and most of those systems don't fit Lamar's skill set best. You have to use him, if you are gonna start him. .... and I mean use all his skills. If they try to start him and make him a pocket passer, well, they are probably gonna struggle.
Also, life of the legs is limited in this sport .. so if you are gonna use him, use him while he is young.
Hope it works out for him. Easily the most dominant college player of the last decade.
