I want 5team to bump this next season when teams adjust, defense takes a step back, and Jackson struggles

Lamar Jackson is good for the Ravens in the short term, adding a layer to their offense. But I don't think his style of play is sustainable on the NFL level. He's not an accurate thrower, and I'm not sure he can really fix that to the point where he be good for NFL standards. I don't think he can stay healthy and have a long NFL career the way he plays.

I wish the guy well though. Seems like a really good guy.

The main subject of the thread is who should be starting right now, LJax or Flacco...So not really relevant but I guess....

And running for 200+ yards a game is a defenses dream.

Flacco wasn't mentioned in the main subject, here's the main subject:

Does anybody actually believe he will be a good QB long term in the NFL

Yeah, worded it wrong. I meant main discussion taking place in the thread had been who should the Ravens start.

I don't think LJax is for real long-term but I think going him over Flacco was a no brainer.

Lamar is a baller....5-1 now as a starter. Be very careful of Ravens if they make the Tourney. TOUGH D + Running game

He hasn't shown that he could be a long-term starter in this league. When he's forced to make plays with his arm, he's generally looked pretty limited. It doesn't mean he can't get to that point, but he's a long way to go.

I saw a lot of this weeks game and thought he looked terrible. He ran it well, managed the game well. They are playing good and winning. I don't think this guy has a chance as a QB in the NFL long term. Similar to Tebows run that year, he's making it work but no chance at being a good QB, even if he stays healthy. If you want the real deal with a scrambling QB Watson is the real deal. I'd take him over most.

No I don't. Remember, Tebow won a playoff game too.

I never said he was going to win the Super Bowl. Obviously he can throw better than Tebow. Don’t be ignorant.

He has already proved it lmao. I don’t know what you guys want or you are waiting for? He just went in and beat a what? 11-3 team? And he’s 5-1 as the starter with only loss being in OT.

The question maybe should be....will Lamar Jackson ever be a great thrower of the football? That’s more appropriate of a question. Will he be a good QB? That question has already been answered. Yes he is a good QB. Clearly. Does Zion Williaminson need to shoot 3s all day? So why does Lamar Jackson have to throw it all day? Do what you do best and see if they can stop it. You can’t teach speed. I’m sure everyone will say just wait they will gameplan for him. They already are gameplanning for him. There’s film now. You can’t teach speed.

RGIII was a better passer than LJ and as good as an athlete with speed. He won games for the Redskins then when he ran, he got hurt.

RGIII is a good comparison to LJ but RGIII was a better QB.
