That's right folks. There is no need to watch any more of the games because the Lakers are a LOCK to WIN IT ALL...

No, I am not on drugs and I seriously mean it...

The fact that they have overcome all of the adversity and came back to WIN 4 STRAIGHT against the defending champs should open up everyone's eyes!

The LAKERS are finally clicking and playing the type of DEFENSE that we witness from CHAMPIONS...

It would be foolhardy to consider betting on anyone other than the LAKERS to WIN IT ALL, period!

Thanks SHRINK,

I will go ahead and toss that 10/1 ticket I have on the Pacers. I was tired of looking at it anyway.

Sorry General but the Pacers have no shot to beat the Lakers and they aren't even guaranteed to make it to the Finals, lol...

That seems to be the general thought on Indiana.

I like having a consensus with that opinion.

General,

FYI...

The Pacers had the best record in the NBA and they are a heavy favorite to make it to the Finals...

I don't think the general thought on Indiana is what you claim it to be, lol..

Their defense is playing tough right now - I expect a let down from it - however, that means nothing because they Lakers should not lose another game - they also have the most clutch player to EVER play the game (and that includes Jordan) - sometimes you play the games to see who is better - this year the Spurs and Lakers played to see who would advance - the teams are dead even and the Lakers got lucky on a shot that would not count if anyone else was starting the clock.

Not so sure about lock. It took a miracle by Dfish just to get Spurs series. If things shake out like they are right now, Lakers may not have home court in either series. All the Lakers really did was figure out Fox was better in movies then on the court. Drop the triangle and beat up Parker. Made Timmy play alone. TWolfs and/or Pacers could, emphasize could, matchup even better. Not exactly buying into Lakers greatness yet. Best Wishes...OF

shrink and i don't agree too often - but here we do.

the lakers/spurs series was for the nba title. lakers won it - lakers will win it all.

and even if they don't have HCA to start the next 2 series - by the time they come home to LA for G3 - they will - being tied 1-1 at worst and maybe even up 2-0.

They have 2 road wins so far in playoffs. Rocket OT game, they easily could have and should have lost, and Dfish miracle shot game, with clock assist. Not exactly road warriors are they. Before game #3 the Lakers were 10-1 to win it all. Now they are odds on. I try to avoid the media spoon feeding. They were in trouble, but not deserving of a 10-1 price. Now they won, they are not an odds on favorite to win it all. Winky, if either series goes to 7, and the Lakers are on the road, do you think they would be favored? Best Wsihes...OF

Hey Shrink, I Think your wrong. There is one team you are forgetting that will beat the Lake show. The New Jersey Nets had the same story, but that was in the east, down 2-0 They will come back and win four staight from the Pistons. Kidd and company rock the Lakers this time around my money is on the NETS

Defense is what brought them back...incredible , they looked like a defensive liabilty as a team then turned it on...Shaq and Karl in particular! Shaq was everywhere, and the Mailman pulled out some of his old tricks...its truly remarkable how they turned it around...they looked very old for 3 weeks then after game 2 they looked quicker all over the court...Minnesota is the only team that can possibly beat them, and thats very doubtful...the Wolves are young and play good D and have homecourt, and they did play L.A. tough last year...it would take a minor miaracle to stop L.A. now...S.A. let them off the hook...

Shaq looks healthier than he`s looked in 3 years...the energy they`ve found to play defense the way they use to was the difference...

Since the Lakers won the NBA championship (wink) by beating the Spurs. It is a given that they won't show up for the rest of the playoffs. The Fakers have been a consistent moneyburning team all season long, look for them to regress back to their norm now that they have gotten their statistical correction out of the way.

SHRINK, what odds would you like to give me on this LOCK? I figure a lock should be worth 5-1? I'd like think this is a satirical post since someone as experienced as you knows there are no locks in sports, especially 2 steps away from an NBA crown. Miles from a lock. I think MInny can take them out. But I hope your way of thinking predominates so I can get some jooocy odds on Minny.

Would this be a stronger lock than the Super Bowl lock? Or would the two locks be considered somewhat equal, as locks go that is.

After your analysis of the Laker Spur series, talking possible sweep and what not, Frog, I don't know if I'd put much creedence in your analysis of Laker basketball. Lakers will win the title, but they're not going to sweep anybody. They know how to win. Duncan slopped on in before Fisher's and Spurs probably shouldn't have been in a position to win that one anyway. Bob Horry is pathetic, and he got way too many minutes.

That is cool Redneckman, after your disappearing act, I put zero creedence in your opinions. Did you get my letter? You have been gone for so long. I shot so many holes in your weak opinions there were more holes than substance. Let me see if I can find that letter for you. Maybe in Redneckland the mail went to the wrong modular home. Again, against Horry. What about Tony, Hedo and Bruce. Were they 4-28 last night? Horry missed his 3's, but Tony just fell apart with physical nature and trapping. Hedo stunk up the entire series. Prefer to look at starters who get substantial minutes. I gues you also missed my post saying why the Lakers would win the series yesterday. Makes for good reading. I said the Lakers had bottled up Tony, taking away transition, fast break points. That was the only edge they had first two. Last night 0 fast break points. In mid series I adjusted my opinion and made money. Please input all data not just what your selective memory allows. One of the most difficult obstacles for a capper to overcome is his ego. I threw mine aside and knew after game #5, what went wrong and why. I made the most difficult decision, to capitulate. I made money again, had a great week, again. Maybe you can read my post from yesterday and tell me how wrong I was. I think I am now a Redneckmanfan. Would Redneckman and Peckerwoodman mean the same thing? Enquiring minds want to know...OF
