Well, it was -3 before the Yao news. Obviously guys like Scola, Artest, Wafer, and others are going to step up. I'd say 8 times out of 10 the Lakers cover tonight. I got them at -5.

Laying 8 points on the road is easy?

Love the Rockets, push it to 9 for me please.

All the concentration is on Yao, screw Yao! If Kobe has a good night Lakers ROLL, is Kobe is average then those 7 or 8 points are as good as gold. my opinion is this game will be based on the play of Kobe! Just my opinion, I've been wrong before.

Lakers completely outmatch the Rockets. Lakes are better at every position. I'll gladly take my chances with my Lakers -7.

are you going to bet against kobe? the guy is hungrier for a title than he's ever been... i think the lakers win this by double digits if not by 20

I agree that the Lakers will cover but how is the over a safe bet like most of us are counting on? I mean sure Lakers will have their way inside now but won't Rockets be missing a lot of offense without Yao's dunks and putbacks and jumpshots or getting to the free throw line?

I guess it doesn't matter since I already banked big on the moneyline and over 194.5 last night but I'm starting to winder about the over now. Any thoughts? You guys think Lakers will force Houston to play uptempo?

houston will be forced to play up tempo... without yao, they dont have a way to get the ball inside, gasol will eat up any of the rockets forwards... kobe, fisher, and ariza are also great perimeter defenders, i dont see aaron brooks and artest having big days half court

Houston can't run with Lakers its not their game. Look for Hst to slow it down and force Lakers into a halfcourt game or they'll get blown out.

How are they going to dictate that without Yao Ming? Lakers will score at will half court or whatever Houston plays. The only thing Houston can do is keep scoring to keep up because Lakers are breaking the 100 point mark I believe no matter what Houston attempts to do to slow them down.

Hou's now without Mutumbo, McGrady and Yao Ming. Thats a lot of (M's) talent for a small market team to lose. Todays games are pivotal in both series. Afterwards its 3-1 or 2-2 in both.

I expect huge efforts by both teams in each game. My gut leans to the under in both games but I'm not playing it. I do like the lakers -6 *yesterday) and Orl-5. Right now lakers are at -8.5, I don't think i'd pay that price.

Yesterday I teased lakers -1 and Orl pk Right now I wish I'd have hammered that option for 3 or 4x what i played.

I think both games could get chippy especially if Bos and Hou get down early. If they do, I'll be hearing dandy Don crooning "turn out the lights the partys over.........."

bol on your plays :toast:

One of the best angles in the NBA is to back a team in the first game without their 'star'.

Rox +8' for me.
