Here is some more info on Laidlaw from an investors hub poster. They are a start up green energy company. More info is in the old financial forum, not sure if that thread can be moved to here or not.

They have a chance but its still a long shot. There are pictures and a video of the Berlin NH project too if anyone is interested.

Greetings all,

I've been in the Gorham/Berlin area for a few days now visiting my family from College. Not having been up here since I first invested in LLEG, I found it interesting to talk to certain people up here and get there opinions on the project and what is happening.

I found it interesting that most people that I have talked to did not know that Laidlaw had not fully acquired the NAD property. Everyone thought it was already purchased (and these are people that read the local news religiously).

The second bit that I found interesting is from workers that currently work for both NAD and also Fraser papers. The sentiment is that the deal will be completed, no doubt about it. One comment was that the deal was being "dragged out" by lawyers who are making money on the litigation of this transaction.

These are all opinions of locals here in the area. No matter who I talked to, every person was in favor of the project going forward. Many also said that the Berlin Development Team (or whatever they are called) should stop worrying about the mill site and focus on the downtown area, which I can attest to, is a complete and utter eye sore... and I can honestly say that it is NOT because of the mill.

I will post some pictures that I took of the site as well as a video panoramic if there is interest for it.

Here is an update from investorshub. The bad news of this company is that there isn't any news but here is a positive post. I'm not selling.

My family is a investor in this comapny we own over 8 million shares. I called headquarters yesterday and left a meesage and got a call back today from someone there. They told me that they are working on the deal it hopefully will be done by end of year, and also working on another deal that will soon be anounced. I hope so as i am very upset that they keep giving us dates they cant meet and then cause the stock to go down, how about saying in pr statements we are working on it and it will be done in 3 monthes that would be better then saying in 30 days. I hope this helps some of you who feel the same as i do frustrated.

Still holding strong with Laidlaw. Here is some info to pass along. Some of the longs think this will close next week. We will see.

Today is the first day I have ever heard a localized rumor from what I would consider a credible source that "Laidlaw is closing on the mill site next week". I must say that such a rumor contradicts a great deal of other information that seems to favor Clean Power. As of today, Vision Power's conversion of the Cascade mill to biomass has been terminated, and I've heard that Clean Power has a great deal to do with that due to recent meetings between Clean Power and Fraser. None-the-less the Laidlaw rumor is surprising perhaps even to Cyclone who anticipates a quiet ending to the year and perhaps reason for the Laidlaw investor to gain back some hope. If there is any truth to this recent rumor the end of the year will be anything but quiet.Consider this a message from neither a basher, pumper or investor. This is just reporting of factual information regarding Vision Power, and rumor of a Laidlaw purchase next week in Berlin.

Congratulations and Merry Christmas to all! Laidlaw Energy has completed the purchase of the Berlin CRU mill site as of today.

The CEO of Laidlaw told the site manager that as soon as the transaction was complete to put the Christmas tree back on top of the mill (Annual tradition). Just drove by tonight and saw it lit up nice and bright. Must admit it put a smile on my face.

There will be a formal statement released right after the New Year.

Again, this project is much more than just money in the pockets for shareholders. This is the start of a rejuvenation of a depressed region.

Hopefully this will be the project to turn Laidlaw into a revenue producing company.

Merry Christmas to all

If energy stays dirt cheap over the next year or two then alternative energy projects will struggle to turn a profit.

oil $30 a pop at the minit.

This company is years away from turning a profit and I hope to be out by then. Closing this land deal means they will start getting this plant ready to power the city of Berlin. Plus they have other projects in the works.

When this gets done and they hook on to the grid, lleg will be powering a city and finally generating revenue.

The stock price will hopefully make my 12 million shares worth something by then.

I have been monitoring LLEG since before Christmas due to the previous post on the other forum. I finally pulled the trigger once I got the news of the deal this morning. I am totally new to the market so I am green and just trying to learn. What do you forsee the price of their stock if they land 2-3 more deals like this?

I am very bad at guessing what the stock price will be. I can tell you some posters at investorshub are figuring this stock to be at .0024 to .0036 by the end of the week. I heard lleg dumped shares today so the good news didn't hold the share price up and it dropped.

I believe they have atleast one more deal they are working on but, if this deal is the only one at lleg gets done, some guys are figuring this stock will be in the pennies once they get the factory up and running and they are supplying heat and steam to Berlin.

There is also talk about a reverse split and lleg moving to OTC trade which would be huge. I think the only way this stock price goes is up and up so
I am holding long and hoping this little company takes off.

Good luck.

I have also invested in Elixir Gaming Technology (EGT) which just landed a huge deal in Cambodia and Aegis Assessment (AGSI). AGSI is up 300% on the day...not really sure why can't find any info on it. Keep us posted on the LLEG status.

Don't know what to think after today. Best news in the company's history yesterday and the stock is down today.

Laidlaw is moving forward and doing great things, unfortunately the stock price hasn't reflected it yet.

I'll post anything I think is important.

Here are a few upcoming important days for Laidlaw.

The Ellicottville court date is part of the civil suit Laidlaw filed against the town last year. Ellicottville is trying to prevent Laidlaw from building their biomass factory near the town. Laidlaw has filed a $10 million dollar lawsuit against the town and so far the judge has denied the towns request to dismiss the case.

January 13 (Tuesday)- Ellicottville court date

I'm not real familar with the Henniker project but it is another biomass project in the works for Laidlaw. Looks like Laidlaw's lawyer went to the first meeting and didn't have any info at all. Very embarrassing.

Next week, Laidlaw is meeting with them again and hopefully they come prepared this time. The link below is about the last meeting.

I will try to do some more research about Henniker and what the plan is there.

January 21 (next Wednesday) - Henniker meeting

I have been trying to follow some of these stories and do some reasearch also. I believe that they had a council meeting in Berlin tonight also?? Correct me if I am wrong. I hope everything goes well, but from what I can see no one can see the forest for the trees (no pun intended). The state of NH signed the law that requires utilities to obtain 25% of their energy supply from renewable sources by 2025. This is a great opportunity to help achieve their goal. I feel that if they can just push and get to the permitting stages of this phase we will see a good little increase. The next phase (Construction) will begin about a year later lasting approximately a year to year and 1/2. I feel that if there are no unforseen circumstances to prevent permitting, hinder construction, etc. I could see by March/April 2011 this stock increasing to the low pennies once revenue from the energy starts pouring in. This Berlin project could really put us in a good spot. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

That is exactly how I see it too.

Add in the fact that the decision in Ellicotville tomorrow will be very important. I really don't care about the monetary decision as much as I care that the judge says the town was wrong.

This to me means that Laidlaw can get that facility up and running too.

Then the Henniker project looks like it might have some potential. I didn't like reading that link I posted because it seemed like Laidlaw wasn't prepared. I hope they now have their ducks in a row for next week.

I am trying to find a down side to a stock that is worth .0005 and has this many things going on. Plus they have a 20 year purchase agreement and investors who are going to invest $100 million dollars.

This will be in the Berlin newspaper tomorrow. Bartoszek is the CEO of Laidlaw.

To the editor:
To the Citizens of Berlin:
As many of you know,
Laidlaw Berlin BioPower,
LLC, has recently fi nalized
our purchase of the Burgess
Mill site and will soon begin
the conversion of the remaining
boiler into a state of the
art biomass energy facility.
We have worked very hard
over the past 27 months to
complete this complex and
challenging transaction. As
one of our city’s newest landowners,
we look forward to
working with city, state and
federal offi cials, the logging
community, the local workforce,
and anyone else that
wants to be part of pointing
the North Country in a
new economic direction. As
our nation weans itself from
expensive and unreliable
foreign fossil fuels, Berlin
will be at the forefront of the
shift toward renewable, environmentally–
friendly domestic
energy production.
In a time of great economic
uncertainty, this project
promises to drive economic
growth in the region for the
foreseeable future. Though
there will be little visible
change to the site over the
next year, we will be hard
at work procuring permits,
fi nalizing contracts for construction,
fuel supply and
power sales, and starting the
personnel interview process.
Upon the successful completion
of these necessary steps,
construction on this estimated
$100 million project
will begin. When the plant
is up and running, it will
have up to 40 full time direct
employees and purchase over
$25 million in wood chips
every year. Public Service of
New Hampshire has agreed
to purchase all the output for
20 years, guaranteeing that
the plant will operate and
provide employment and
opportunity for the region as
well as electricity to the citizens
of New Hampshire for
that entire time. This project
represents an unparalleled
opportunity for our company,
the City of Berlin, and the
North Country.
As we have stated in the
past, we pledge to make this
facility a source of pride to
the city. Over the next few
months, we intend to present
our project in much
greater detail and will invite
feedback so that together,
we can build a facility that
will serve as a model for the
emerging green economy. It
is our hope that the citizens
of the “City that Trees Built”
will welcome us as Berlin
continues its proud tradition
of creating economic
prosperity by combining the
talents of its work force with
the abundance of its natural
resources.

The Berlin city council meeting is next Monday, January 19 per this link:
linnh.gov/Pages/index (right side of page). You can review last meetings minutes, next meetings agenda, etc.

Also with this link you can read the mayors report:
http://www.berlinnh.gov/Pages/BerlinNH_Council/MayorsReport/Mayor's Report 12-15-2008.pdf

IMO "Economic <NOBR style="FONT-WEIGHT: normal; FONT-SIZE: 100%">Development</NOBR>" has many gray definitions because it is a catch all phrase that can simply mean revenue. No matter what brings revenue, if Economic Development is what you are searching for then Economic Development is what LLEG can bring to the table. Let's see what today brings.

Here is the link for the NH Site Evaluation Committee. I suppose as we get closer to time we will need this for referencing documentation between Laidlaw and the committee. I feel that the Henniker project could be a blessing in disguise as Laidlaw must utilize all of its resources to, for lack of a better term, "convince" the committee this facility will not harm the environment, citizens, etc. With such a big push for renewable energy sources not only state wide but nation wide, I am sure these guys have become real sticklers so any Tom, Dick, and Larry can't just open a plant. I will keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. These next months will be the measuring stick for this company. It will be a test they must pass if they are to be successful and make it to the next level that they promote so well. If they pass this test and get it rolling in Berlin, there is no question we will never see close to 0.0005 again!

GOOD DAY!! :103631605
