Lynn is (5-1) in his last 6 starts vs Cincy and Reds are only (4-9) in Bailey's last 13 as a home dog. For what it's worth

However, Lynn was 1-1 with a 4.74 era last year in Cinci. Although the BAA was not bad at a .232. and his whip was a 1.316

Had a strong outing and a bad one, but iirc in the bad one he struggled more with Laz Diaz strike zone (and mediocre control that day) than with the CIN lineup.
Bailey has had trouble with the Cards in the past, but last 2 starts at home vs Cards were b2b shutouts though, combined 14.1IP giving up just 7H walking 3 while striking out 15. Would lay off though since todays game could easily see rain delays and the Reds like we all know lost some of their better bullpen arms to injuries, plus Bailey had a groin injury in spring that sidelined him several days. Should be behind him, but he only went 58pitches in his start before that happened, 75pitches in a minor league game afterwards (being quoted after the game that he felt good but it cramped up in his 5th & final inning) and then another 3inning start, where he was pulled due to cold and wet weather after getting enough work in.
So he probably would go 6IP/90-95pitches max I guess.

Very true, however, my point was that the 5-1 record against Cinci is somewhat deceiving as Lynn was much better against them in St L than in Cinci

The weather is going to get worse as the day goes on so I highly doubt that

Looks like there are some clearings about about 12:30 and again at about 1 or 2. Only chance this game goes is if they get it in during those times.

Yeah reds are only (5-12) in baileys last 17 starts vs STL but the Cards are only (3-8) in Lynn's last 11 starts on the road. Pick your poison I guess!

Reds are usually pretty tough on get away days. BUT, my Redlegs have scored 1 run in 18 innings (yes STL pitching is strong) but the bats are just not alive yet. And not having much of a bullpen due to injuries is going to catch up with reds sooner than later.
