La Tech @ Rice - Weather

What do you guys think about this one tonight?

Total opens at 67 and now down to 61 at most shops. Supposed to be nasty in Houston. Rain and 15/20 mph winds (the latter driving this number down).

Line is sitting at 12, which seems a little high to me...based on the home and away performances by each team. I would've thought La Tech would be -8 or 9, max. Seems like Rice is getting quite a bit of action (from a number of bets standpoint).

Thoughts?

Fishin - Weather doesn't always favor an under. Sometimes it's the opposite (slick fields usually favor the offense, wide receivers, etc.). In this case, it's supposed to be fairly windy (and rainy), which changes things a bit. Once you get into the 20 mph range, it definitely affects the offenses.

La Tech likes to throw the ball, but both teams have fairly balanced offenses. I would normally pound the under here, but these two could combine for 80 if the weather wasn't an issue.

Windy yes. Raining no. It's gloomy outside but don't see any rain just yet.
Fwiw, last week was raining in Houston and Rice game went way over.

Play rice and over this games soars past the over little bit ofwind won't be much of a factor I have seen games fly over the total in all kinds of weather wind rain snow storms ext over 61 is the play for me.
