Pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed driving home after he pitched really well last night. Prayers out to Nicks family and to the Angels organization

Thats terrible, what kind of affect does this have on tonights game, not trying to be a dick, just wondering how players react. Do they go out and play hard and win for him, or does the entire team get depressed, and perform poorly.

gecko, i am glad you brought it up because it does raise a good point. You can go out and say maybe some other games are affected by it because some players aren't mentally able to handle a player who got killed and just pitched the previous night.

I think tonight's game is a huge stay away, and I wouldn't be surprised if they cancelled it all together. I see teams rally around an owner passing away or a relative passing away, but not like this. If they were to play, both teams would be so mentally out of it.

Just tryin to explore a different angle. This is a terrible tragedy and it sux, but it did happen, and now I wanna know if the Angels are gonna come out pumped or depressed. If this is a horrible thing to ask, then I'm sorry and I guess I'm going to hell.

You can't be serious. This is such upsetting news and to think you are trying to figure an angle on how to profit on it is very embarrasinng on your part. I highly doubt they will play this game anyway but you already showed your true colors.

I'm so sick right now. I follow the Angels and have season tickets to their games. And this Kid, only 22 years old, was the Angels future on the mound. The kid had amazing potential and was only going to become better. And this f+cker who ran the red light who was drunk or on some pills or high on something better spend the rest of his life in prison. It makes me so sick. I'm in shock right now. My prayers to his family.

they won't play the game tonight & it is terrible news but lets not judge a guy asking that question. be honest, none of us know the guy (ADENHART) & it's not like wer'e going to call some angel players to see how their mental state is. if mondo asked the question & the guy posting was nick's brother or a teammate then it would definitely be in bad taste. i feel terrible that anyone died, pro ballplayer or not but a lot of people will fade the angels in their next game or two so let's not pretend wer'e all holier than thou & commiting some great sin be speculating on the affect it will have.
