Is L.A. truly ready for an NFL team? Those fans are fickle and bandwagon.

I think the league wanted a team there more than the citizens did.

I thought they should change the name of the team and uniforms this time. Maybe in 5 years they relocate somewhere else again. They need a new stadium at the very least.

Hmm, I would think there are a decent amount of Rams fans from the old days. Might wanna start with that fan base first and then try to build.

Don't think an exhibition game being cancelled is indicative of anything though.

Even if the team support isn't Lakersesque, there are just so so many people in SoCal. Get 5% of them on board and you are good. Seems likely they succeed.

Yeah but there are like 25 million people living in SoCal and football is the most popular sport. Getting 60k to come out 8 Sundays a year seems easy.

And Inglewood (in addition to being up to no good) is a fairly central location.

I dunno, I feel like Kroenke knows what he is doing here. Dude married into Walmart $, he's not dumb.

It really does not matter if 0 people go to the games as long as it increases the TV contracts its winner.
And that it will do.
The NFL is about TV not ticket sales

Football not most popular in LA, it is a baseball town. Mexicans/Hispanics make up about half of the documented population, football doesn't appeal as much as baseball & soccer. Kind of like an nhl team setting up in Atlanta, which is 60% black....it failed miserably. League wants it more than the citizens

Ratings matter and prime time games with 35000 empty seats matters, reason la went from 2 teams to 0

Ok. Someone explain to me... how is is always IMPOSSIBLE for football teams to NOT REMODEL THEIR EXISTING STADIUMS??

I ask this as that is a reason given for la having lakluster attendance???...

But to my question.. why??

Yeah, that makes sense.

Just too many people in LA for that not to work.

Raider fans going to be pissed when they don't show those games because the Rams are now the local team though.

yep and fast, there was a huge waiting list to buy

Doesn't mean they will actually attend, if they get on a hot streak and it becomes the "place to be seen", maybe....but if they suck, it will be festival seating for those that do go.
