If there’s one football player who’s the antithesis of Kiss’s desire to rock and roll all night and party every day, it’s Tim Tebow. He’s more apt to party whenever it’s someone’s birthday and rock and roll only between 6 and 6:15 p.m., provided it’s to an old Pat Boone album.
That hasn’t stopped
the band’s new Los Angeles Arena Football League team from making a <DEL>publicity attempt</DEL> legitimate contract offer to the unemployed quarterback.
A press release issued by the LA KISS announced its three-year offer to Tebow. It hopes to lure Tebow to the AFL through a contract that could earn him “million” and because of Tebow’s increasing football desperation. As if to drive that point home, the press release mentions how Kurt Warner turned from anonymous football player to NFL superstar, which sounds like the exact opposite of Tebow’s career trajectory, but whatever.
“Acquiring Tebow would not only be a great investment for the team, but his exciting style of play would definitely send shockwaves through the League,” said Gene Simmons in a press release. “We’re excited for the opportunity to see him with an LA KISS uniform on, and for the LA KISS fans to be rockin’ their Tebow shirts and jerseys.”
