Kudos to Carib! They refund $250 mistake on blackjack hand.......Yesterday I was playing blackjack at Carib, and have actually been very successful there when I do play, which isnt nearly as much as it used to be. Anyhow, I layed $100 on a hand of blackjack, I had 20 showing, the dealer had an Ace, so I insured, which made it another $50. The dealer didnt have blackjack, so I was likely going to win the hand, I clicked what I thought was stand, but it doubled down

, and I busted, losing $250 off of either a computer error, or my own, which would of been a first. Anyhow, after sending them a message explaining, and calling the liked the requested, they said they would look into it, and returned to my account today to read the following message........
Hi Steve, Thanks for your patience,in regards to your BJ situation at CSC we have refunded your wager amount of $250.00 as we both know that no Sensible BJ player would Double Down on a 20. This is clearly an ..... error and regardless of whether it was your error or our System error we do give our Customers the edge in any error situation.

Very classy for them to understand no player that knows what he's doing playing blackjack, would even hit on a 20, much less double down!

LoL slim, actually, carib is one that I am up on. There are a few I would never consider playing at again, and am down at, but a few I am up quite a bit at, even though I rarely play them like I used to. The key to these online casinos is to "hit them and run" for a while, and then repeat.....

I know how to "hit and run".Dante, I do understand your job is to defend and support books that advertise with TheRx, but Carib is definitely one of the best overall books there is. If you havent visited the site lately, I suggest you do so for football. I believe they have 102 juice on football on Tuesdays, and all 2 team teasers win with a tie, among many other things.

This has given me and idea. One of the $100 suicide hands I lost at Sands last week was when I hit on a 12.

Beantownjim notwithstanding, no sensible person would hit on a 12 when the dealer isn't showing a face card.

I want that $100 back plus another $100 I would have won after the dealer busted!

After reading your initial thread again I have determined that they gave you $50 too much for sure and the other extra $100 you probably shouldn't have gotten either.

Your insurance was not affected by doubling down, and they shouldn't have given you a mulligan on the other $100. The dealer could have drawn to a 21.

What did the dealer have under his ace, and what card did you draw?

If it can be proven conclusively that you would have won had you held, then I can see giving you $200. But the only way that could happen is if the dealer had a natural 17-19 or when adding your doubled down card it would have added up to 17-19.

If not in both cases, there isn't enough conclusive proof you would have won and they could have kept your original $100 bet as well as your $50 insurance and it would have been within their reasonable rights.

But the fact they gave you all $250 shows what type of quality operation Carib is. The only thing bad about them is that their website keeps crashing.
