Great start to college season and hopefully it continues this week.
$2000 Penn State -9.5.....This is a great spot here for Penn State. They face an undefeated Iowa team who is not as good as their record suggests. Penn State has played 3 straight cupcakes and won by an average of over 3 tds per game. I believe this number is low because Iowa has played better last 2 games (vs ISU and Arizona) but it is a major payback game for Lions as Hawkeyes beat them on late fg ly to knock them out of National Championship Game. With no running game really to speak of, Hawkeyes are going to have a difficult time controlling the ball at Penn State. I look for an inspired Penn State team to roll in this game.
$200 Northwestern -2......Northwestern plays an improved Minnesota team. Kafka has been playing well at qb for Wildcats. Difference in this game is Minnesota having no answer for Wildcats pass rush specifically Wooten.
$500 Michigan State +3.....Spartans are better than their 1-2 record while Badgers are one of the worst undefeated teams out there. Spartans have had recent success vs Badgers to boot. I believe MSU is better team on both sides of the ball and go into Madison and win this game su.
$200 Georgia Tech -2.5....UNC struggled when they went on the road to UConn only to pull out an inprobable victory late. GT ran into a buzzsaw at Miami lw. Jackets are a solid football team who will bounce back here in a defensive slugfest.
$200 Houston -1.5....Cougars are for real having dismantled Ok. State in Stillwater. TT is untested so far and looked ok vs Texas lw. If Oklahoma State was playing TT at home this spread would likely be a td. Cougars put up some points in this one to win by 7-10 points. This is one of my sleepers to crash the BCS this season.
$500 Arkansas +17.....Great spot here for Hogs who have had success vs Crimson Tide recently. This is an inflated number after Alabama ran it up on North Texas. Arkansas can score with Tide as proven lw with Georgia. Look for a more traditional SEC game that Alabama struggles to even sniff 17 point lead all day.
$200 Maryland +2.5.....This imo is another overreaction line from MTSU win over Maryland. Rutgers has not exactly played well enough to be favored here imo with young qb going on the road. Maryland under Friedgen has shown great resolve in bouncing back after bad losses and feel they will do it here. Anybody remember Cal game ly?
$200 Bowling Green +17.....I may upgrade this game later in the week but really feel BG is better than this. Boise State has rolled vs overrated Oregon and Fresno St who is not as good this year. BG played a great game at Mizzou and should have won su. They will keep it under the number here and I feel have a great shot as a live dog.
$500 Cincinnati -16.5.....Cincinnati and Pike is proving to me they are the read deal again this year in the Big East. This Fresno State team is not as good as the past but offensively they are decent. Love the fact California team is playing early game here at Cinci to boot. Look for Cinci to roll up impressive win in this one.
