Kojak's Valentine's Saturday College Hoops Slate

I am posting this very early as I will be away from my computer for the next 2-3 days on the road. This is a very large slate of games but hopefully I can assist in making some money for all of us to spend on our sweethearts today.

Butler +8.5 - Both of these teams struggle to score and defend very well. I look for a very tight low scoring game in this one.(win)

Oklahoma -5.5 - Sampson as always has OU starting to play well as Big 12 tournament approaches. OU starting to get back on track and will get on board for the ride.(win)

Iowa State +7 - Yes the Cyclones. This team has been horrid of late getting blown out by Ok St and K State but I expect a very competitive game in this one as Cyclones fighting to stay in hunt for tournament bid. Texas is not as strong on the road is another reason I expect it to stay close but I think Cyclones are live in this one.(win)

California +4.5 - As Arizona found out last weekend, Berkeley is a tough place to play. Stanford has to lose sooner or later and I think that this is the spot against arch rival.(loss)

West Virginia -1 - The Mountaineers are showing real signs of improvement while Wildcats are stuck in neutral. Home court is the difference in this one.(win)

Kentucky -6.5 - Georgia has been a tough place to play of late and they already own a victory over Wildcats in Lexington this year. I feel Kentucky comes out and plays well in this one as road has treated them well with wins at Miss St., Florida, Mich St. etc. Kentucky gets some revenge in this one.(loss)

LSU +10 - Tigers have been very impressive of late. They play with a lot of chemistry and team work which is something Gators lack. Difference in this game is defense. Something Florida knows little about.(win)

Creighton -6.5 - Blue Jays have way too much for overmatched Drake team. This line has a lot of value as Creighton should win by 12-15.(loss)

Arkansas Little Rock -15 - UALR should roll against overmatched Florida International team.(win)

Kansas State +10 - Wildcats have been playing well of late while Bobby's boys have struggled. I expect this game to be a lot closer than spread suggests.(loss)

Xavier -15 - X at home is money especially against an inferior opponent(win)

Marquette -1 - Marq is at home and in dire need of quality win. Mason and Dieter get the job done here against Memphis.(loss)

Hawaii -8 - Warriors don't lose at home often let alone twice in 48 hours. I look for a big bounce back against Ponies.

Minnesota +13.5 - Gophers played Spartans well the first time and should have won if not for late melt down. I look for another spirited effort today to try to right wrong of first game.(win)

New Mexico +11 - Air Force will win but Lobos have been playing everyone tough at home and on road. They could be spoilers come conference tournament time.(win)

Dam, I just was going to say that I liked everyone of your plays, because we are not banging on any of them. But then I saw your Iowa St play. That is the only game we are opposite today. Well, its a Top play for you , but only a 3 unit which is like a reg play for me. Also, it is a power rating systems play, and I am just following it. So I wont feel bad if you win it. Get second win of the day as West Virginia holds off 2nd half charge from Villanova to get to 2-0 on day. Minnesota,Kentucky, and Oklahoma are all looking good so far.

Go to 3-0 on day with Minnesota holding off giving up spread late in 2nd half. Minnesota also gets me the 1st win in 3tm parlay to be spent on wife. Only Kentucky and Iowa State to go. First 3 wins get me even from 0-3 Friday Night. Starting back at scratch.
