With last game pending, I am at 22-22 for the day on Saturday with Santa Clara remaining. This Sunday brings my GOY #5. I am 3-1 on these plays and this Sunday bring a game as strong as Washington at Arizona last week. So let's get to it.
GOY #5 is Missouri -3
Missouri is playing its final game of the year on Senior Day. This is a very special Senior Day this year with Ricky Paulding,Arthur Johnson, Travon Bryant, and Josh Kroenke playing before the home crowd for the last time. This has been a special group of players as they have won more NCAA tournament games than any other class in Missouri history. What makes this day even more special is that this will be the last game played in the Hearnes Center. For many years, this has been the building that no other team wanted to play in and has provided over the years an overwhelming home advantage for the Tigers. All the past Missouri great players including former Coach Norm Stewart will be their to send this building out with a bang. Who better to play against the Tigers in their last game than Kansas. Kansas defeated Missouri about a month ago in a game Missouri could have very easily won. Kansas has been a very poor road team this year in the Big 12 getting blown out by Oklahoma St., Nebraska, Iowa State, and Texas. The crowd will be electric in this one as more important than all the above reasons, the Tigers need the win to most likely clinch 4th place in Big 12, bye in Big 12 tournament, and probably an at large berth in the NCAA Tournament. I don't see this game being much of a contest as Missouri has all the intangibles and will be extremely motivated. Missouri will win this game by double figures and will blow out their arch rival Jayhawks in this one.(loss)
Top Plays:
Syracuse +4 - Orangemen have been quietly getting it together and will have a major payback on their mind after losing by 28 earlier this year at UCONN. UCONN has covered one Big East game on the road all year and has generally been piss poor on the road. I look for Syracuse to win this one su.(Downgraded to a regular play)(win)
Florida +8 - Gators are in a similar situation as Syracuse as they need a win for an at large berth and it is a payback from Kentucky win on their home floor. Difference here is Florida will cover but will not win as Kentucky will pull out yet another close SEC Battle.(loss)
Illinois -8 - Illini can win Big 10 outright with win over lowly Buckeyes and they will going away. Illini have too many athletes and are peaking at the right time.(loss)
Regular Plays:
Rutgers +1.5(loss by 1/2 pt)
Arizona -15.5(win)
Maryland -10 (loss by 1 pt)
New Orleans -2
Middle Tennessee St. +8 (win)
Best of luck to all and hopefully you join in with the GOY winner.
