The only thing that makes me nervous about penn state this weekend is our history this year with running qbs (see OSU and Maryland games) ...our defense is very, very talented but the lbs and DBS are very young (mostly freshmen and sophomores) and have trouble staying at home on the running qbs....however PSU is growing as a team...Hackenburg looked outstanding Saturday and I don't mean just the stats....his mechanics haven't been good all year, he hasn't put touch on short throws all year...that all changed Saturday...his mechanics especially footwork was very good and it showed in his accuracy, on short crossing routes he took something off of the throws and made them with touch instead of just using his cannon of an arm and gunning them at his guys...he grew a ton this past week and if he keeps it up this week it won't be close...
On bovado they usually release an alternate line...I will be taking PSU - points and +175/200 or whatever it is....and I hate betting on my team but think this is a ridiculous line ...PSU rolls....good luck and thanks Kojak!

Northern Illinois +8 Tuesday- Huskies are live dog as they have won 5 in a row vs Toledo. Toledo has covered every game this year. They won't here.
Kansas St +17.5...Baylor playing a mid week game in Manhatten and with backup QB. Iowa St outplayed Baylor in the second half as their offense came to a near halt. Kstate looked awful vs both OU and Texas but now Snyder has had extra time to right ship and get Wildcats ready. Bad spot for Bears who should not be favored on road by this many points with all the question marks. Also angle play against Baylor who lost ats streak but kept su streak alive. Got hunch Kstate will be more than competitive here.
Indiana +7...line starting to move so grabbing at full amount. Iowa has not faced an offense as good as IU all year. Similar to Baylor, Iowa falls into same angle and Indiana has not covered 3 straight so time to start win streak angle. Indiana looking to go to rare bowl so should have equal to more energy to Iowa. Hoosiers will win su here but will take the points.
Colorado +16.5...Stanford coming off biggest win of season goes back to back on road will be on letdown alert. This Buffaloes team broke conference losing streak and played extremely well at UCLA. Stanford has blown out CU last two years by 48-0 and 48-7 so definitely Stanford may not be up here while CU looking to exact some revenge. Angle play as well on CU as Stanford kept su streak alive but lost ats. CU may bein it until the end. Early start time here could cause sleepy Stanford as well similar to Northwestern game.
Middle Tennessee-3...Blue Raiders have played a much tougher schedule than Marshall to date and both teams records reflect it. Fact is I believe Middle is the better team and will prove it at home. Also bet on angle on Blue Raiders due to cover having lost four straight against spread.

Penn St +2.5...Wrong team favored. Penn St has played well losing only at Buckeyes and tomTemple which doesn't look bad now. Northwestern did win at Huskers last time out but we know that doesn't mean much now.
Maryland +13.....This is a very good spot for Maryland and not one for Wisky. Maryland showed some grit breaking their L ats streak lw on the road at Iowa. Have been playing improved. Wisky coming off of blowout win vs Rutgers cant be that up here. I think Maryland has chance to upset Bucky here.
TCU -5....Oklahoma St. here is your huckleberry as Horned Frogs come in primed and ready to put on show in Stillwater.
Illinois -2...Illini got shutout and blown out lw while Boilers pulled upset over Nebraska. Both teams go back to form here as Illini handle Boilers comfortably in West Lafayette.
Ohio State -23....Buckeyes ascending goes up against emotionally spent Gophers team playing first game on road with interim coach. Recipe for a blowout for Buckeyes.

LSU +7.5.....Got great number here and feel the best player on the field Mr. Fournette continues LSU roll to playoffs and keeps Alabama at worst from not covering again at home.
Arkansas St/ Appalachian St. over 62 Thursday....Two pretty good offenses who both played Saturday playing mid week game without extra rest will make this hell on the defenses. Look for some big time fireworks on the scoreboard in this one.
New Mexico +14....Utah St. has really played well at home but this game is at Lobos. Last road game Utah St. layed big egg at San Diego St. Lobos have lost 4 straight ats so feel strong bet to break streak here vs team that is not the same team at all on the road getting 2 tds and 2 extra points.
Missouri +8....This is another team in Mississippi St. going to mid week game at Mizzou coming off lousy loss at Vandy. This is a Gary Pinkel special game written all over it as Mizzou upsets Mississippi St. team in first midweek night game in Columbia where there will be a ton of energy for Mizzou.

Kojak, I like Duke, but I'm trying to talk myself out of it. They went 4 OT's against VT and then were robbed last week on that final play. Now they're on the road against this N Carolina team that's playing well. Do you see the possibility of Duke just being spent from 2 consecutive highly charged emotional games? Would appreciate your input. Thanks in advance.
