A little bit of a slow start to the season going 1-4 but today look to climb over .500 and post the first two Killers of the early season.

Kojak Killers:

Maryland -15.5 - Terrapins are looking for some major payback from the loss to the Huskies last year. Maryland loses Perry but backup had done admirably in absence last year. No. Illinois no longer has Michael Turner which is a huge loss. I look for Maryland's home dominance to reign big time even with breaking in new starting quarterback.

Kansas -4 - Jayhawks have nearly entire team returning from their bowl team from a year ago. Tulsa showed against Georgia Tech that they can't hang with the big boys in the Humanitarian Bowl. Kansas and Whitmore roll it up big in Lawrence.

Other games:

Auburn -36 - Expectations are not as high with nearly same team returning. They beat this team 73-7 last year and I look for a big beginning to their season this season with Cadillac and company compiling big stats.

Mississippi -3.5 - Another payback game as Eli and company lost at Memphis a year ago. Eli is now gone but cupboard is not empty. Memphis is 1-9 ats the last 10 trips to Oxford.

Notre Dame -5.5 - I look for Irish to make big early season impression as Willingham took a beating with alumni and media in offseason. ND talent level is getting closer to what is expected while Byu has simply gone down since Crowder initial season.

Oregon St. + 18 - Beavers have a lot of talent as they were ranked #1 in both total offense and defense last year in the PAC 10. If Anderson doesn't turn the ball over and get some time from the young line, Tigers could be ripe.

Idaho + 32- No more Didwiddie for Boise St. which means it may take some time to offense to get some continuity. I'll take the generous points in this one.

Upset Special:

Troy State +14.5 - Marshall is not the same team as when Pennington and Moss were there. Troy St. has taken on all comers on the road the past few years and has been more than competitive for a lower Division 1 team. TSU covers but I will also go on a line and call a straight up win in this one.

I will be back later on today for Sunday plays. Best of luck

Adding additional Kojak Killer...

Clemson -11.5 - Revenge game for Tigers who have had plenty of time to prepare for the Deacon offense. could Clemson be best in ACC this year?

Auburn is looking good early at 17-0. Clemson getting ready to start. Adding...

UCLA pk (bought 1.5)

Good luck Kojak. Kansas will roll up some points but it won't be because of Whittemore. He graduated

East Carolina +29

From which side are you looking at this? WVU is the team in the BEAST now and they are going to be looking for a statement. ECU is bad, very very bad (alumni speaking here). The only saving grace is their RB game, but that is it. new coordinators and a shaky O make this a very sketchy situation.

I see this as a no play, but would like to hear some more input on it.

lebowski,

Take a look at Panther thread. He has been attending the practices and said this team looks much improved. He is want of the longest and more respected guys here. I am coat tailing him on this play. I may also input that they may be the beast of the big least especially with the way BC played at Ball st Thurs. Pitt isn't even favored at So. Florida. Their defense is average at best and there is no more Q. for Mountaineers. I see WV winning but by no more than 21. Best of luck.

What a joke in Auburn/La Monroe game? I didn't see game but they must have been playing all freshman after early 2nd quarter. This Monroe team is horrid. Tigers must have bet against themselves. Anyway, record on day goes to 0-1.

Upset special looking good early with Troy State.

1) Panther does NOT attend practices b/c almost ALL of them are closed, he's probably buying the bs from coach Thomson (he is a salesman, not a coach or recruiter)

2) the reason EC would look good at practice is that they don't have a defense, I weigh 275 pounds and can't even run 40 yards moreless time it, and I could have a career day against ECU...
