I have kept this pretty quiet and have not told many people but here is one of the main reasons why Busch means so much to me. Back when Joe Torre was coaching the Cardinals and Dal Maxville was the GM, the Cards tore up the astroturf and put in the grass in Busch. What a lot of people don't know is my sister's best friends grandfather was the assistant GM for Maxville. During the offseason when the Cards were putting the grass in Busch, my sister's best friend and family friend died in a Car Accident. As a result of this, the Cards dedicated and named the Grass infield in St. Louis "EMMY" after her which is her name. Not too many people know about this but I was reminded this morning when my sister called me and was crying because she has another chance to go to Busch and say goodbye to Busch, root on our Cards, and most of all say goodbye to her best friend.

Very touching story. Glad your sisters get to go back to Busch Stadium to remember her friend and say goodbye again.

Superbowl,

My sister never got a chance to say goodbye the first time as my sister in a totally different incident was involved in an dui accident prior to this happening in which someone was killed and went to prison for it. She was not the only guilty party but only one that paid the heavy price. This will be her first chance to say goodbye as she has not been to Busch in over 15 years. Thanks!

Great Story Kojak...I have a funny feeling that shot by Pujols is going to be remembered in the same fashion as a handful of other baseball moments as the plat that saved the Cards season...I am sure you went bonkers when the ball left the bat....

I was over a friends watching it and the first thing that popped in my head was "Kojak is still alive" ...alltime material there.
