Magic is the one who called kobe the greatest laker of all time

From Laker Nation.com:

Magic Johnson is arguably the greatest Laker of all time, but he has not been fond of his former team as of late. Johnson was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night and he was forthright about his feelings towards Lakers Coach Mike D’Antoni.
Johnson has been especially critical of the Lakers over the last couple of years. Today, he tweeted out a list of players who have carried their teams on their back and won which included Michaeal Jordan, Larry Bird, Kevin Durant, and Lebron Jame. However, he left Kobe Bryant off that list.
Johnson not including Bryant on that list us puzzling, but it is not surprising. Times are tough in Laker land, but Johnson’s constant bashing is not helpful. He continues to praise other players and organizations, but chooses to ignore one of the greatest players of all-time in Bryant.

Concluding our countdown of the 10 greatest L.A. Lakers of all time, as chosen by our readers.
No. 1: Magic Johnson (3,594 first-place votes, 69,156 points)
Magic Johnson was selected first overall in the 1979 NBA Draft by the Lakers. The Lakers won the NBA title, and Johnson was named NBA Finals Most Valuable Player in his rookie season. He won four more titles with the Lakers during the 1980s.
Johnson's career achievements include three NBA MVP awards, 12 All-Star games, and 10 All-NBA first- and second-team awards. He is the NBA's all-time leader in assists per game, with an average of 11.2, and is probably the most popular Laker of all time.
On the all-time Lakers list, Johnson ranks fifth in games (906), eighth in field-goal percentage (52%), sixth in free-throw percentage (84.8%), third in rebounds (6,559), first in assists (10,141), first in steals (1,724), fifth in points (17,707), eighth in points per game (19.5) and first in assists per game (11.2).

And 2 years later, Magic doesn't even include him on his list of great players.

As much as FZ acts like a 5 year old in his hatred for Kobe...

Magic is the greatest laker of all time. Cant imagine anyone who saw both play saying differently.

Actually I thought I was quite civil in the thread. Please show me where I acted anything like a 5 year old?

Kobe has matured over the years, and I actually appreciate his game a lot more than I used to. Though I admit it
still bugs the hell out of me when people are stupid enough to say he's as good as or better than Jordan.

We all know Jordan is the best. As far as magic vs Kobe, Kobe's ability to score is uncanny. Magic is the best passer/assist man ever. Defense is a toss up. Magic was definitely a better leader at a much younger age. Kobe matured over the years but magic came in the league balling. I would say even Steven in my book though.

Magics career was also short lived, Kobe deserves some credit for his consistence and longevity.
