why? he already has the rings, has a life in LA. Making millions more here than anywhere else he could go, but he say he is dumb because he can't score like he use to but wants to play the game he loves? there is so many things wrong with your comment I'm not even sure how to respond
Lebron also wouldnt take nearly as many shots as Kobe did. Think he had 45+ attempts w/ 20+ free throws? that mean he shot the ball atleast 50+ times that game. That is an avg of more than once a minute. Crazy! two completely different styles of play. Both effective in their own ways
I think the comment went over your head as you misinterpreted my points. Kobe wants to win and craves winning.... but anybody in their right mind knows the Lakers will suck and be a lottery team. Kobe, apparently, is too stupid to realize this.
He will be miserable. He consciously chose being miserable.... He wants to compete and win and do what he loves.... which is championship level basketball. By going back to the Lakers he had no chance.
It's like marrying a whore. Why would you marry a whore when you know going in you're in for trouble (see Mel Gibson and the category 5 heart attack and ulcers that bitch gave him). So that's what Kobe did.. he decided to stay with the Lakers who have ZERO CHANCE of winning.
Honestly don't know what he was thinking. Maybe he had to have a salary number to satisfy his ego... but the fact is the Lakers will suck and he will be absolutely miserable and he will blame everybody in his path for the Lakers being terrible and not winning. And he will pout and whine and act like a diva.
My thing is, why the fuck did he go back to the Lakers?
And don't give me this shit about being a family man.... he married a whore and was out banging different bitches every night of the season while he was on the road. That's probably not the definition of a family man. But to each their own.
He should've taken a page from Phil Jackson's book.. and that is, you only play cards if you got a full deck. Kobe is showing up to the table and he has the worst hand possible even though he may be the best player.
In the NBA it's all about the players and Jackson knows that to win, you have to have horses. Same with Rivers. The guy has no players and they are a lottery team and are horrid... people call him the worst coach in the league. You get him the horses and the All-Stars and all of a sudden Rivers is one of the best coaches in the league.
O/c, being one of the best of all time also demands that one has a huge ego and a totally warped view of the world. In his mind he may have believed that his ability (albeit past his prime) was enough to raise the Lakers to a championship. Unfortunately, the question based in reality is..... is his talent enough to raise this horrible Laker team to a 30-win season?
Kobe consciously chose a 30-win team (if they get that many) and that's on him. I wish the guy the best, but he's got a long season ahead of him.
