winky- I know you've followed this case pretty closely. I have just seen what's in the paper, on sportscenter and read a few websites. There are two things that don't add up to me. One question on each side of the issue.
#1- Why did one of Kobe Bryant's lackeys take a $300 dollar cab ride to go get his stuff from his room at the hotel? What was there that someone had to get so quickly? The place is a $500 dollar a night resort where you need a reservation at the hotel just to get in the gate. Where was his stuff going to go?
#2- The alleged victim brought room service to Kobe Bryant's room and then showed up back downstairs 30 minutes later crying. Where was she for that time period? When I worked in a restaurant when I was like 16, if I was away from my work area for more than a minute my manager was ready to send a posse to look for me. The food service manager on duty or her co-workers didn't wonder where she was for 30 minutes?
Q- Where was she for the 30 minutes
A- She was getting raped
Q- Why did nobody no where a room service person was for 30 minutes
A- In a laidback resort like Vail,Co or in Cal resorts you dont have uptight people to worry about that. Most resorts have 1 mgr for the whole food department and room service people dont have managers.
