kobe is not unstoppable

the person stopping kobe bryant is kobe bryant

he will take bad shots or try to do too much. but when you're as good as he is, it's pretty hard to draw the line between what is feasible and what isn't so you just try it anyways.

as for lebron, don't tell me he doesn't have a killer instinct. he took the C's to 7 games last year by himself and has his team sitting at the 2nd best record in the league.

Oh puh-leaze. Who didn't take the Skirts to 7 games last year? Even the Clippers would've taken that team to a Game 7 last year, had they made the Playoffs. The only reason the Lakers didn't, was because they got overconfident in Game 4.

I agree that it's real close between Lebron and Wade I just think Wade edges him out. Of all those statistics the more important ones are the one's where Wade is ahead. For example, FG% is much more important than just 3pt%. Lebron definitely has Wade in rebounds but Wade is a guard so it's unrealistic to expect him to have more rebounds but it's pretty astonishing that even though he is a guard he's leading both Lebron and Kobe in blocks. Wade does have more TO but he makes up for that by having more assists and steals. Wade may average 0.46 more TO per game but he also averages 0.53 more steals per game. Almost a wash but again Wade edges out Lebron.

And since when is it right to expect a forward to average 7 assists?

LeBron is leading everyone in clutch stats, "game-winners", and win shares. Enough said

So Clippers would have played them harder than the Lakers? Do you really wanna try to make that argument?

Out of the BIG 3, Kobe is the only one who played worse than his season averages.

for sure kobe has a killer instinct and no player wants to lose but there is no doubt in my mind that basketball is his life, the most important thing to him is to win. imo that doesnt mean he is the best though

He's not a real forward, just a titular forward, just like Kobe when they put Vujacic at the 2.

Yep, it's called overconfidence. It happens to the best.

Georges St. Pierre vs Matt Serra

Look it up.

its kobe then a fight between wade and lbj. and i honestly dont know who i'd pick for that 2nd spot. like i said before though, the NBA is very lucky to have all these guys playing in there prime now.

each are titans and icons of the game, rightfully so.

Hmm. Ok. So a team with a record of 23-59 would have outplayed a 57 win team in a 7 game series knowing a championship was on the line? Again, prove this to me. Considering Kobe was the only one who played significantly worse than his season average, prove me the LAKERS, as an organization, got overconfident.

Just think about that. The clippers, would have pushed the Celtics to more than 6 games, but the Lakers couldn't?

I'm aware of St. Pierre vs Serra and overconfidence is a very basic way to break down that fight. In MMA, one punch can change a fight, or in this case end it. It takes 48 minutes of effort to win a basketball game, not a single possession.

Bullshit. Where do you think the high fg% comes from? Most of his made fg's are in the paint playing like a forward. Taking away his rebounds simply because he's "tall" and "supposed to get them" is like taking away Wade's assists because he plays the guard.

The Lakers were up by 20-some points. They were blowing out the Skirts. Easy to get overconfident in a halftime situation like that. Ask any coach in the NBA.

And just like MMA, NBA is all about momentum. You might think 48 minutes is enough time for a team to shape up, but it's pretty clear you don't really play basketball, and if you do, obviously not at a high level.

Bad analogy. You're comparing the Lebron James' physical attributes with D Wade's position.

And that is why there are 7 games in an NBA playoff series. Losing a series in 6 is not a reason of overconfidence, it's because the other team is simply better than you. If it were 1 game, sure, but not in 7 my man.

And for the record, I was a walk on for both St Johns and Binghamton and could have started for any D2 team in the country, on scholarship. Dude said I don't play basketball.

I never said anything about taking away Lebron's rebounds. He's clearly ahead in rebounds. I was just making the point that it was impressive that Wade was ahead in blocks considering he's a guard. Frankly if Wade was ahead in rebounds too there would be no discussion.

But he isn't. You clearly were discrediting LeBron's rebounding because of his position. Again, if that were the case, wouldn't you at least expect the SG to have a higher 3 point % and a much higher ft%? You can add assists on that list too.

LeBron>Wade>Kobe this season.

not really. he doesnt post-up. he dunks and drives the lane, but every good player has to be able to do that.
