A few reasons why G.S. would take Crawford:
1) He's a good combo guard who can replace Monta Ellis while he's out.
2) There are rumours about a power struggle between Don Nelson and Chris Mullin. If Mullin goes so will Ellis because word is that Nelson doesn't like him.
3) In a league where good players often get shipped for basically nothing in return, getting Crawford is nothing to sneeze at.
4) Crawford thrives on up-tempo offence, so he should average 20 a game without breaking a sweat. He will fit in well as far as style of play goes in Golden State. He is also apparently well-liked. Not bad after having to deal with Harrington's attitude problems.

I am shocked by this trade. Crawford was thriving in D'Antoni's system and the knicks are at a respectable 6-5? However, I read rumors that Crawford, goes to GS for Harrington, Z.Randolph and Mardy Collins goes to LAC for Mobely and Tim Thomas. If that were so, I like this for LAC a lot. How did they get Randolph without giving up any of their 2 Cs????

Great Trade for Both.
My Boys in Blue and Orange (Not the conventional Knicks Orange, but that ugly neon crap) just extended SteJay and with the new contracts to Beans/Monta/Corey are way out of contention to bring in the King...oh and the Oakland/Shitty Owner thing might apply also.
This helps Warriors out a ton near term. Crawford is a great fill in for the injured Monta. And just might, though unlikely, put them in contention for the 7-9 area they have fought in for the last two years.
Who can't wait to see Jackson and Crawford on a 2-0 fast break and pull up for a 3?
