FWIW - The Knicks, a 5.5. point favorite over Orlando are likely to be firing HC Don Chaney after tonites game. Supposedly Mike Fratello is waiting in the wings. NY GM Isiah Thomas is acting true to form and hasn't contacted Chaney about the move and won't confirm or deny anything. Basically, Chaney and his team are trying to prepare for a game tonite with Chaney being hung out to dry by Thomas. WFAN, the All-sports station in NY is ripping Thomas to shreds for his gutless behavior. He was on Letterman last night and supposedly cut down Chaney.

I wouldn't put any $$$ on NY tonite.

every coachng change or percieved change in the NBA so far,,ahs Yielded an OVER WIN BY MORE THAN 20-30 so this is where ZAP and I agreed to leave the OVER as an agreed play,,,, Im not much for trends,,I am IN FOR PSYCHOLOGY,,,, you saw what happend the other day when they let Penny and Stephan go unleashd they came back from a 20 point deficit,,, to almost win,,,, that final score was ???? 220 I think,,,,

anyway,,, in times of transition,,, they will typically ust say,,go out and have fun,,, lets score,,,, and run,,, what a prefect team to do that with,,,, Orlando,,,,

good luck to all

fratello though. . .that is damn good choice, if he cant turn the ship around no one can. isiah is really doing a great job over there. the knicks are looking to be a top 3 team in the east. they should do some serious damage in the playoffs.

fratello will get the knicks away from loopy ideas such as "zone defense against peremiter teams" and "run the offense through allen houston" now chaney can smoke his crack in peace and the knick fans dont have to witness the after math of it first hand anymore.

NY Media , specifically The NY Daily News, blew it on the Fratello rumor. That was their back page story this morning ( Go to nydailynews.com and click on SPORTS at the top of the main page - the Fratello story is still up !!!).

Gamblingman - I could be wrong but I think Doc's only head coaching gig was with Orlando. I think he retired in '96 and started coaching the Magic in '99. I believe he did TV work between his playing and coaching days. Whatever the Knicks do, keep their former star Willis Reed out of the picture. He butched many a draft for the Nets as their GM .

Willis had the hart of a lion but made some bad moves as a gm.Actually isaih probably would of done a good job and i also like doc.

The biggest thing i could never figure out and i've wrote many things on this was trader phil jackson we couldn't of kept him in the fold eh lol.

Still thinking about the ex players.
