Found this write up...quite good:
I actually don't understand these odds at all.
The bookies are once more mislead here. To have odds 1.30 or lower against Boston Celtics, who finally found their form, and exploded recently is insane.
This value must be taken just for the value, and not to mention the actual reasons, which would made me stake on Boston tonight even if the odds were 2.20.
NY Knicks are the team I follow the most, and could write a book about their recent seasons.Knicks decided to make cardinal changes this season, so they acquired Isiah Thomas around Christmas. He fired Don Chaney from the head coach spot, and brought NBA legend Lenny Wilkens.
Thomas made some crucial moves, and has traded more than a few players, and Knicks went on with completely reshuffled line-up.
There were 2 players marked as key: Stephon Marbury and Keith Van Horn(once played together in NJ, and have shown good chemistry).
NY started to win games, and everything was looking very good, I actually thought of putting some money on them to win it all this season, as the odds were insanely high(around 30.00), or at least to win the East.
Shortly after, Thomas traded Van Horn to Milwaukee for Tim Thomas and Nazr Mohammed; his explanation for the media was that Thomas and Mohammed will be starters for the Knicks in near future, and that "one sometimes has to do such moves".
Knicks of course fell, their form turned from fantastic to very bad.
Still, it was hard to expect that an experienced coach like Lenny Wilkens will allow his team to fall apart.Allan Houston was back after injury, and newly arrived Tim Thomas and Mohammed adapted to the tactics.
Knicks have found their game again, and are convinced they will finally reach playoffs.
Knicks are still not completely back, and I believe Celtics have a chance here.
NY actually hasn't played with a stronger "in form" team lately, and despite their 3 game winning streak(NY last 3 games:
03/07/04 W 99-86 @ Washington
03/05/04 W 109-103 @ Toronto
03/03/04 W 88-77 vs Philadelphia)
they still have difficulties of playing at the higher level, and maintaining the shot pct high.
With these 3 wins, NY ended a 7 game losing streak.
Knicks are currently 4-6 in the last 10 games.

Boston Celtics, another mithical club, a former dinasty, is waking up finally.
Celtics began the season well, playing solid basketball, and being close to the playoff spots.
As the season went on, Celtics have soon shown they are not as stabile as it seemed at the first glance, the team fell apart.
The coach was fired, Celtics acquired coach John Carroll, and after some time of adaptation, the team started to produce on the court, and win games.
Celtics are currently on a 5 game winning streak, and are aiming for the first 6 game winning streak since November 2-13, 2002.
Celtics held off Minnesota Timberwolves in the last game, winning 80-77.
No players in the team scored more than 18 points(Welsch 18, Pierce 13(10 rebs), Mihm 11, Atkins 12 points), teamwork was once again their weapon, and they nailed the win in the final quarter.
A lot of NBA analysts and connosseurs waited for something like this to happen in this team, and it finally did, Celtics are on the rise.
The Knicks, who were swept by the Celtics each of the prior two seasons, have won the first three meetings this campaign and can sweep Boston for the first time since 1996-97.
I don't think the sweep will be made here, Celtics are in awesome form, and are only 1 win behind their tonight's opponents.
Celtics are currently on 7th playoff spot, and I m sure the win would not be such a surprise here, at least not as the bookies marked it.
6/10 stakes here.
Please note the odds went from 3.20 to 3.10 in just 10 minutes(at William Hill), and I expect the odds to fall even more.
