Knicks are the Real Deal

Knicks are beating up on a weaker team. The Celts are not good. They haven't been able to close a game all year. Garnett looks his age and Pierce is the only who can create his own shot. Jeff Green is an enigma. They are without their best playmaker and rebounder. You can have grit and balls all you want but when you care outclassed talent wise there isn't much you can do.

But to the point of this thread I stand with PatsFan...way too early in this playoff season to crown or bury them.

Zit says Knicks gonna do well in playoffs
Justin says ain't happenin

Pretty vague on both ends to really say someone is right/wrong unless its just clear on this one. Although in coming weeks Knicks should advance far enough to where there is no doubt but if they lose rd 2 to Indy let's say, I thnk Justin could obviously come in here and be like told ya so.

I started a thread saying the Knicks were the real deal, Justina immediately responds saying they are not, saying that they will eventually lose in the playoffs by not playing defense and "living and dying by the 3." I then said I made no statement about how far they would go in the playoffs, and he responded by saying "I was hedging my bet."

What a douche.

Haha then what does the "real deal" mean?

Allow me to laugh at the absurdity of you saying the knicks are the real deal and then hedging your bet. You might not agree with my opinions but at least I stand behind them. You just lost your last ounce of respect.

I started the thread because the Knicks were playing really good ball, and Carmelo seemed to have jumped to a new plateau in his game. I'm not Knicks fan at all, I'm a Celtics fan - but I was appreciating the talent the Knicks put together.

I never thought the Knicks had even a chance of getting past the Heat, *but* I do think they will easily get past the first round, and will cause problems for any second round team.

For Justina to come in the thread and say that somehow I was "hedging my bet" when I pointed out to him that I made no statement on how far they would go in the playoffs, was just plain stupid.

How about a proper burial for the Celtics first? Must admit the Knicks have got the Knicks fans all hot and bothered. The last two second halfs for the Celtics have been downright scary. Will be checking second half lines on the Celts from here on out. I mean the wheels have just completely come off.

Where was that thread where rooftop said the Celtics were better without Rondo? I need a good laugh.

Yeah it looks like the old tired guys vrs the young studs with legs. Think the Celtics scored 3 points in the last six minutes last night. If the Celtics get a decent lead on Friday night I think I will fade them for the second half unless the refs are getting creative with their whistles. No doubt Rondo would help this tired looking crew.

What a douche.

Isn't a little early to pat yourself on the back?

All they did was hold home court in the first two games of the first round.

Please reread post #43 where I state my purpose in creating the thread. It's in basic 3rd grade level English. If you continue to have comprehension problems, please let me know and I'll try to help you out.

We shall see.

If they make it to the conference finals and have a decent showing against the heat I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about them. A lot of ball to play between now and then though.

People say crazy shit. Few regular season wins when everyone is pumped up with energy after a guy goes down means nothing.

Obviously Rondo an elite player, he went toe to toe with LeBron last year.

Re: Knicks, you never really gave any parameter for what "the real deal" means though and then Justin never gave anything of substance for what he thinks they were a pretender means. I was obviously with you on this thread as I've always been a big fan of Melo and have defended him vs some other hater in other threads (can't seem to remember who that was right now)

I'll bump that thread though.

This is moving the goal posts though, a "good showing vs the Heat" Well a lot of people are starting to think the Heat are the best team since the '01 Shaq/Kobe Lakers. What if the Knicks don't have a good series vs them? Would this mean Zit was wrong? Doubtful.

I asked you ITT who you think is better than the Knicks in the East besides Miami and you didn't respond. Rather just make blanket statements?

Well enfuego said Melo is an overrated idiot who can't commit to anything and isn't a superstar so how the F they gonna do that?

I suppose you could say FZ is right if Knicks go rd 2 but I mean, who didn't think they would go rd 2? Rondo is dead, Rose is dead, hell even John Wall and Bynum (all in Bynums case) missed good portions of the season. I would hope Knicks can go rd 2, if they can't they got some major retooling to do.

They have the best chance in the East. Not sure how legit that is, about a 10% chance probably.

That 10% goes to 0% if Chandler is hurt though and judging from what I've seen from games 1/2 it looks like he is.

Then again Noah couldn't walk for a month and now he is playing badass D for the Bulls in game 2, so who knows what they shoot these fools up with!

Noah has to be the most underrated player in the league.

Vitt, I don't see NY having much chance.

Yeah, i hear ya...will be interested in the series price. I look at Noah and think wtf is rose doing? No way some of those players arent thinking the same thing. Lotta grit by Noah to play.

Yeah, Noah is something else. Had one of the best playoffs plays that never gets talked about. Stole the ball from Pierce and dribbled half the court and finished with dunk. Last year or 2 years ago.

Celtics with rondo would be better.

I think pacer's are better too. That would be a great series i'm looking forward to seeing.
