Might even see a qb change if Kliff and the franchise decide they screwed up with rosen. Since they have the #1 pick and could maybe pull off a shocking trade for an AB type player, they could greatly change their franchise in a short window.

There is zero chance they trade Rosen. And I mean zero. That's not speculation. I know that.

Bidwill and Keim believe in him and blame 100% of the team's failure on the coaching staff and injuries.

I'll give you the defense part. As far as that goes, Kingsbury isn't going to coach the defense. A DC with experience will be hired to completely run that side of the ball. So that's a non-issue here.

As to the running the football part, if you think the trends of offense haven't shifted from passing to open the run vs old school run to open the pass, then you have been in a cave the past five + seasons. The game on offense has absolutely changed to a more wide open game. The rule changes have contributed to that. Is a solid run game still important? Sure. But not as important as it used to be.

I heard today on the radio that while at Texas Tech, Kingsbury only passed the ball 55% of the time. Not sure if that was his entire tenure or just last season. If true, a 55/45 pass to run ration this day and age is very reasonable. But that was in college. He will adapt his offensive principles to best fit the NFL game. He's no dummy.

7 out of the 12 playoff teams this year were in the top 11 in rushing the football. Passing is great and it's a wide open NFL but rushing the football and rushing it well are still really important.

I think I'm one of the few that actually likes Rosen and think with the right coaching, he will have a good future.

I think the jury is still out. He has all the tools. But that doesn't always translate.

To judge him on this wasted season is silly though. Not that Sam Bradford is a HOF QB, but he was even worse in that offense than Rosen was. And that was with a healthy OL. Put him in a more QB friendly offense, get David Johnson more involved like he was in Arians offense, make the OL more serviceable, and add one more weapon on the outside. Then I think we can judge what he is fairly.

And that might seem like a ton of things to change overnight, but it's really not. 1 and 2 will be done. And they have tons of cap room next year to bring in some help. And the first pick in every round next year. This is the NFL. Things can change fast.

Playing defense and running the football wins Super Bowls. Been that way for years without fail.

The top 5 defenses are all out of this years playoffs and the top 4 offenses are all alive

Having elite QB play is the best way to contend for a superbowl.

After that, there are a lot of ways to skin a cat.
