Luckily Mr. Wynn had the an appointment with the same manicurist immediately following my wife.

I really like the Wynn and I am sure the opening weekend difficulties will be remedied sooner than later.

The stocks has been plunging as well. I believe several sharp people on here predicted it would be a good time to sell it short just before opening.

I'm sure they will work out some of the kinks in time. It's just that nothing they could do would live up to the hype given before it opened.

I agree about the over hype, other than murderers and drunk drivers what else was there to yack about in this pile of dirt ?

Your wifes words most definately caught the right "ear."

It took me forty five minutes to get Harry Connick Jr a key that would work on his suite door. I've got more stories but it's better not to make them public :)

Gotta wonder when this Vegas bubble will burst. Theyve been saying you shouldnt build anymore casinos since forever. Gotta wonder about the water with all those people living in the desert.

They say the same thing about the Indian Casino's in So. Cal, yet you can't get near a slot machine on a busy weekend.

I've got an over simplistlic answer.

Gambling is FUN and people like having FUN.

Water ?

Push comes to shove they will construct a canal to the Pacific and purify saltwater. A mans got to have ice for his Captain Morgan and Coke.

Who knows how long it lasts, but the latest water conservation efforts have actually led to less water being used now than a few years ago, despite thousands upon thousands of more residents and visitors. Conservation works if you make a big enough publicity effort.

Personally I would worry more about Phoenix. They have more growth on a bigger base. Besides they get their water pretty much only after Vegas does. The big problem is the farmers in California's deserts, growing stuff that would never exist without tons of river water. If they can talk them into turning that land into suburbs or anything but farms, the southwest will have enough water for many generations.

Last year, just before all the rain, Vegas brokered a huge billion dollar deal with AZ to buy huge quantities of water. I dont remember the exact numbers, but it was enough to take care of any water shortage. I am sure someone with good investigation skills could find newspaper articles about it.
