BFL, stop fucking around! You know damn well that if Harbaugh was coaching Georgia, then Georgia would've won by 40+ points.

Keep us updated on your Christmas dinner when you'll have Harbaugh over for an excellent meal. We know you are his biggest fan, lol.

When they do expand the playoff system, I have always wanted them to only go to 6, but I think it will be 8.

6 would give a greater value to the regular season still by having the top two teams get byes into the semis.

I know the argument will always be there for team 7 & 8, but if you look at the past few years, those teams at 7 & 8 in the final ranking before the playoffs aren't legit contenders.

my 02.

Regardless the conference champs +1 or +3 is how they should decide it. There should be a playoff spot that is earned on the field so there are no excuses. In men’s b-ball, every team controls their own destiny and can win a title even though there are only about 16-20 with a realistic chance. Same should be for football, go undefeated or win a P5 conf champ you would be in.

This would not diminish the regular season and actually create better regular season non-congress games. Maybe, just maybe, we would actually see Bama play a true non-conf road game. I know Bama is good but their non-conf schedule is Louisville, Arkansas State, Louisia-Layfette and the Citadel. In a year when their crossover games are Mixzou and Tennessee, they have to play 3-4 games a year. It is pretty pathetic for such a powerhouse team and means they have little wear or tear on their players. I wish Bama would schedule like USC.

I know these guys are paid to be controversial, but c'mon Herbstreit. Yesterday during the Clemson game when asked about the top 4 ranking, he says not only should Georgia rank in the top 4, but they should move up to 3 after losing the conference championship to Alabama. WTF?! Move up? How does that work?

There clearly can be a fair debate on Georgia remaining in the top 4 but moving up is bullshit. Herbstreit claims the conference championships don't mean anything. I disagree. Georgia had their destiny in their hands and they lost. In no way can I see a team moving up, just because another team (Notre Dame) didn't play. That's absurd. I predict Georgia will be on the outside looking in when the final 4 come out and Oklahoma will be in.

So the week before OSU destroys the #4 team and barely moves up yet the following week the #4 team loses and moves ahead of an idle team. The whole thing is a joke, let the players earn it on the field just like the NFL. The NY Giants were not one of the best 4 teams in their SB wins over the Pats, nobody thinks their SB titles are illegitimate.

"The best four teams" meaningless garbage. We see it al the time how wrong we are about who the best team or teams are. they have to prove it on the field within reason. Can't put Georgia in. They had their chance. I hate to see it as I hate Oklahoma and am bored to death by Ohio St. You can make the case a team in baseball who ends up 70-92 but goes 20-5 to end the year is one of the best teams in the league at that moment. Teams improve. Should we put them in ahead a team who won 100 games but wnet 10-15 to end the season and looks like crap? NO

Oklahoma is the better team and more fun to watch. Better mix of run and pass than Ohio St. Ohios St may have a better defense but both are questionable. Oklahoma faced better offenses.

Whose eyes? The sponsors? The eye test is a joke, set the rules before the season and let the players earn it on the field not just a room full of 50+ year olds in a secret ballot. That is why the NFL will always be better.

My eyes tell me Alabama beat Georgia so no need to see it again. Next up. Few years ago Michigan and Ohio state played a great game and everyone debated hat should be the national championship game. Florida got it instead and whipped Ohio state. Once you lose to an opponent at this point of the year there isn’t a need to see the same game again. The eye test doesn’t need to be used when a scoreboard is used and there is a loser.

I think Michigan ended up losing again so that game wasn't going to happen anyway

Was the last game of the year before conference championships were played. Didn’t have them yet. Lost to usc in the rose bowl but was still he Bcs years. When Ohio state played Michigan it was #1 vs #2 for the last game of the year.

ESPN projections gives Ohio St over a 70% chance of getting int and OKla less then 30.. not saying I agree with it , but its interesting to say the least. as far as a 8 team diminishing the regular season. that's nonsense. if anything it will add to the regular season knowing that you win your conference , you're in

where do you see this

What does Alabama beating Georgia have to do with whether Georgia is better than Oklahoma? The two are not the same thing.

Alabama beat ever single one of their opponents by 21 or more points this year.

Then, the Bulldogs take a lead over Bama into the 4Q and you guys don't want to see that game again? You think Oklahoma would hold Bama up by giving up 50+ PPG?

Alabama is going to torch Oklahoma. Georgia obviously showed they can hang with them, but you can also say they had their chance. Ohio State also matches up much better with Alabama than Oklahoma does, but it is what it is.
