NEW YORK (AP) Sacramento's Anthony Peeler was suspended for two games Monday for elbowing Minnesota's Kevin Garnett, meaning the Kings guard will miss Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Peeler was suspended without pay by the NBA.

Peeler hit Garnett in the midsection with 31.2 seconds left in the third quarter of Sunday's Game 6. Peeler elbowed the league MVP in the head with 13.5 seconds remaining in the period and was ejected.

The Kings beat the Timberwolves 104-87 and forced a deciding game on Wednesday.

Garnett was fined $7,500 for hitting Peeler in the chest with an elbow.

Peeler will serve the first game of his suspension Wednesday. He will then miss either Game 1 of the Western Conference finals or the first game of the 2004-05 season.

Where is the logic in this decision? Peeler gets a game for each elbow and Garnett pays cash for his.

Lets go Buford!

The elbow to the chest by KG happens 20-30 times a game. I want to know why he got fined $7500?

Every sports fan knew that Garnett wouldnt be suspended. The bottomline is that he is THE MVP,and they arent going to put the Leagues most valubable player on the bench for a deciding 7th game of the playoffs. Live with it.

KG was'nt suspended because he did'nt do anything that would warrant a suspension. If he did what Peeler did, he would be suspended.

If they suspended the player everytime they took a shot like Garnett did, neither team would be able to field 5 players. The punishment fit the crime for both players. Peeler made two suspendable offenses. Garnett made no suspendable offense, hence no suspension. Although I dont even know if Peeler got 1 game for each or 2 games for the last elbow alone. Either is possible.

Peeler deserves an ass beating along with those 2 games.

I hope the Kings and their short bench run out of steam and this little elbow throwing rat get's the ever-living crap beat out of him by Vlade *the Professional* and Webber the whole flight home.

7500?! i thought NBA was king of big fines. wow. especially for big ticket he probably spends that much on a roll of designer toliet paper. didnt warren sapp get like a 5 figure fine for going out on to the field before game through the colts?! i mean wow. talk about a slap on the wrist.

also chuck simms is right, the NBA doesnt play favorites when it comes to fights. they dont tolerate it. end of story.
