Kid's 2008-2009 Bowl Thread - 67% percent this season!!

I have been making separate threads for each bowl game, but it's just easier to start one and add to it. That being said, this thread will have the rest of my bowl games inside. Good luck to everyone.

Motorcity Bowl

4* - Florida Atlantic +6.5 over CMU

...I am actually 4-1 on my sides and 0-2 on my totals this bowl season, so I am going to try to play more sides and second halves. Really like FAU in this spot, they are a hot team right now and even though this will be a mostly home crowd for CMU tonight, I think Florida Atlantic has a good shot at an upset win. The only thing that concerns me a little is that there will be a new offensive coordinator calling the plays tonight for the Owls. Other than that, I think they match CMU possession for possession...there offense is more than capable. CMU does not have the type of defense to put away teams. 75% of the public on CMU...all signs point to a FAU cover in my book.

Looking into games right now for tomorrow. Had a nice two hour delay in Detroit so I was able to get some work done. I will post my plays later this evening.

...I almost put a little on the ML for fun, that would have been nice. Regardless, an easy cover and I am now 5-1 on sides this bowl season and really feel like I am hitting my stride.

Meineke Bowl

3* -- North Carolina +2 over West Virginia

...This is not the game that the Mountaineers set their sites on at the beginning of the season. With Pat White back after beating OU in the Fiesta Bowl last season, the goals were high for this team. They have been a disappointment to say the least. Meanwhile, North Carolina wants to be here and they are playing in Charlotte to boot. North Carolina is already 2-0 against the Big East this season, beating Rutgers and Connecticut badly. This team is a different team with T.J Yates, who missed several games with an injury. Even missing 5 games, he still threw 9 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions. Side note that may or may not matter...Butch Davis is 4-0 in bowl games and Howard Schellenberger was 5-0 going into tonights game against Central. Schnellenberger got the win, I think Davis will too.

Champs Sports Bowl

2* --Wisconsin +6 over Florida State

...this most likely will not be a popular forum play. Florida State is going to be the more sexy choice in this game. They are more athletic, quicker, exciting to watch, in their home state, etc. I get all that, but that doesn't necessarily mean they win by 6+ points. Wisconsin had 5 losses this season, but they were just 6 points away from being 10-2 instead of 7-5. They are physical, they play pretty good defense and they have two real good running backs. I know their quarterback situation is ugly, but so is Florida States. I think there will be turnovers in this game and probably more points scored than the 52.5 Vegas has posted, but I will stay away from the total, as I have struggled a bit with those recently. I think Wisconsin comes to play...they probably don't win, but it will be closer than the "experts" think it will be.

...write-up above, line moving in the direction I thought it would. The more I think about it, the more I like Wisconsin in this game. For record purposes its just one unit added to the 2* above. Good luck
