Kerry ahead in most of the 20 swing states where the election will ultimately be decided, according to a poll published yesterday.
The survey, by Zogby International, suggested that the president would go into next week's Republican convention in New York facing a serious challenge.

Mr Kerry is leading in 13 of the 20 battleground states, where both campaigns have focused almost all their efforts. That lead translates into a disproportionate advantage in the electoral college, which will formally choose the next president.
Mr Kerry's advantage is very large.

Bush now leading in most national polls, and swing states soon to follow suit. Bush ahead in Florida and Ohio also.

LMAO! Same shit different year. Just like in 2000 the dems were going to win so many seats in the Senate and they lost miserably. Some of you will have to be committed after this election.

Do you mean real war heros like Bush that signed up for the natiomal guard assuring that he wouldn't see any war action. Then couldn't even handle that and desserted.

My latest polling has Bush at 55.9 percent, Kerry at 42.1 percent. This poll has a plus or minus 56.793 percent margin of error but it's been accurate in the past.

Let this be a lesson to those who are considering serving their country by joining the army and fighting in Iraq or Afganistan. If you lose an arm or a leg over there and in 30 years or so decide to run for office then some dirt bag like GW Bush will use your sacrifice against you and call you a traitor.

yes that is a good point blabber. I dont know why the smokingwaytoomanyspliffys think kerry needs to be in a wheel chair just to be a decorated war hero and worthy of running for office.

Just an odd tidbit of useless trivia...I believe it was aired during last weeks football game....

Stated that the state of Missouri had the winning candidate like 24 of the last 25 years.....basically if you carried Missouri you won the election.....Adlai Stevenson was the last loser Missouri had....

Moral of the story: Fight like hell for Missouri and let the other 49 states go..

He did not desert the National Guard. the planes he was training on were not going to be used anymore so they sent him home. Nice try though.

Another event which has been accurate is the Monday night Football game the night before election day. It's something like, if a NFC team is playing an AFC team, and the NFC team wins - Republican wins. Again, something like.

You think that would make a difference? Look what they did to Max Cleland.

What did they do to Cleland? Calling a guy out on his pathetic voting record is hardly earthshaking, even if that guy is in a wheelchair.

Phaedrus, what do you mean look what they did to Max Cleland. He was a liberal senator running in a conservative state, and he lost, as he deserved to. Easy to play the handicap card, Phaedrus. Need to get the facts correct, however.
