Kerry from +150 to -250 is purportedly the greatest line movement in web based gambling history.. did joe public really bet the mortgage on bush? kindly explain the reasons behind said movement, and did the big $$$$ continue to buy kerry from pic to -250.

Keep in mind that this is like a line for a sporting event moving while the game is being played. It's NOT like Billy Walters moving a college football line from 2.5 to 7 prior to the game.

Mostly real info from the ground creates that kind of move. Much of that is NOT immediately on the internet. If millions can be bet around the world, today is a day which behooves some large connected bettors to pay for close information.

If you bet on Bush, it might be nice to hope that the Kerry betting has been based on poor info and a bandwagon effect by some tagging on to "sharp money" once again. But the move is FAR too big for that argument to hold water.

I think that had to be a ton of money bet on Kerry by liberals who don't normally bet. No gambler is going to lay 2 to 1 in the last hours after plus money was for the taking for the last 8 months. Twelve hours ago you could've gotten Kerry at +110 for all the tea in China.

i know you guys are gonna feel like gloating, especially with all the anti-Bush abuse we've taken lately, but let's keep our heads about us. If Bush pulls this out, like I believe he will, we gotta focus on the next 4 years and the challenges we face. Let's handle these results with more class than our counterparts.

exactly. i was the first on our side to say if Kerry won, i'd wish him well and hope he does what's right for America. We're Americans first, Dems and Reps second. Rooting against Bush and America isn't good for anybody, except the terrorists.
