thanks in advance...I think KY is on a roll and has been playing solid as of late...they will want to keep the roll going ...SC has been in a semi slump

thanks for any feedback

South Carolina played them tooth and nail in Lexington losing by a single point. Gamecocks have struggled but all of those have been on the road and bounced back very nicely at home against Georgia this past Saturday. South Carolina already knows they can play with this team and should get a high profile win in this one. GL.

I personally lean towards the Gamecocks. Kentucky has struggled on the SEC road and USC had the one-point loss at Lexington.

I agree with your initial thought dante... I am on Kentucky as well.

This is the time that teams like this step it up.

Ky was swept by Georgia, split with Vandy, and squeaked out tight games on the road at Mississippi State, Tennessee, and Florida.

However, Kentucky had some convincing road wins as well, beating "lower tier" teams Auburn, LSU, Indiana, and Marshall by an average of 17 pts (10pts adjusted for the indiana blowout), and also winning against "higher tier" teams Notre Dame, Michigan State, and UCLA.

I put SC in the lower category - and expect things to balance out tonight with a solid KY win.

and also remember that this guy Howell the senior forward for SC is out for the season now... Its not a major developement apparently because I guess his playing time was limited, but when these 2 teams met in Kentucky Howell had 5 pts on 7 attempts, 5 boards, 2 blocks, and a couple fouls - not a major impact on the game but certainly some impact on the game.

I like Kentucky. They are playing for the Conference Championship tonight and Saturday. If they win out they get the Regular season SEC ring.
They beat Miss Stake earlier in the year so if they have equal conference records, Ky has the tiebraker.
I expect the cocks to come out fighting and it will be a close game, but I think KY gets it done because of what they are playing for.

It's a big deal to them to win the conference every damn year. That is goal #1 in their book. Do that first, then win the national championship or the season is a failure. Sick!!!! I wish LSU's basketball team had that mentality.

NOT TO MENTION they are trying to get a #1 or #2 seed...PLUS I think in the last game that SC lost by one point KY did not have Flitch in the line up, I was reading so that might be a difference also
