Well, last week sucked. I picked Georgia and they blew it (making my dream of being 30-2 down the drain ... I really want to pick up that 30th win).

The special teams was able to score 21 points off special teams.

I would have never thought that UK would cover in this game ... especially with their special teams. UK's special teams have been AWFUL and they stepped it up against Georgia. Something I didn't see happening.

I am not sure if I will make a play on the UK/Vandy game, but I wanted to give you some news and thoughts on it.

I will post throughout the week and I might have a play. I just wanted to give info out to people who are thinking about playing this game.

------------------

The good news:
- The offense looked great ... but was it b/c Georgia sucks?
I think Randall Cobb at QB is a great addition. We ran more of the option and he was amazing. I think he can keep this up against Vandy.
- Special teams looked great
- Senior day next week against Vandy ... they should be pumped.
- They need 1 more win to get into any other bowl besides the Music City Bowl.
Trust me ... they don't want to go back there. They want to continue to move the program up (this happens by going to a bigger bowl game)

The bad news:
- Trevard Lindley was hurt in the game. You could see the Georgia offense (especially that side of the ball) take a huge leap when Lindley went out.
He is one of the best cover guys in college football (yes I said it). He is suppose to be back, but you got to wonder how effective he can be.
- Demario Ford is out for the year. Not good to lose another WR. First Dicky Lyons and now Ford. We are playing ALL freshman and sophomores at WR). Not good for this team. However it may be good b/c now they will run the ball more (which they are better with Cobb back there running the option).

I will be here through the week with some more news and a possible play.
The lines are getting tighter, so we will see what happens.

Dude....I took UK last week because I thought you said they would cover (no joke!)

When I called my book, he actually said to me "of the 50 people that are playing this game you are the only one on kentucky!"

Holy shit....I could've swore you said UK.....lol

Oh well......I am making the trip to Lexington this weekend to see them play "Mighty Vandy!"

BOL this week.

Yea ... we all miss some here and there. I post them and I try to give you all winners. I have done well up to this point. I just missed one. I am sure I will miss more down the road as well.

It happens. We can't be 100% on anything.

At least I am not some tout on here claiming I have the GOY or Lock of the year. I just post my analysis of a team that I know very well.

You can play or fade. I just want to try and help some people in here either way!

Good luck to you this week as well.

Who knew Georgia's defense sucked that bad? I mean the Gators scored mostly on short fields and turnovers the week before so I thought the Dawgs would only give up a few TD's but they were pathetic.

Looks like if Georgia had zero turnovers against the Gators they still would have been blown out...

jb...I kind of thought Georgia would cover too. But I didn't play the game for one reason: I've found over the years that giving a team that is already bowl eligible at this point in the season, double digits on the spread in their own backyard can be a money burning proposition.

yea I see your point.

The thing was I actually predicted this game to the point (except special teams). I still can't get over the 21 points UK was able to score off special teams. They have one of the worst special teams in football.

I think it gets very hard to handicap these games late into the season (at least until the bowls come around). I might stay away from UK the rest of the year

this just in:

Trevard Lindley is questionable for the game against Vanderbilt.

Ouch ... that would hurt

Some of them.

I was posting at another place until I came here. I post on and off with them and the RX, but now I left the other place and I am here for good.

I have no reason to fudge on my record. I am here to help everyone. If I suck, then that is fine. I don't care about making some phony number up.

good luck this week.

Has this 29-3 record been posted at the RX?

I am sure all 32 haven't been posted, but I always keep an eye what people post each week and hadn't seen him lose a UK game until last week.....just my $.02

Georgia was not overrated....they've lost a minimum of 7 starters for the season to injuries....in particular on lines of scrimmage. The brutal SEC schedule is catching up to them. The only reason Alabama is thriving is because they've gone injury free. UGA not as fortunate and they are losing the battle of line of scrimmage, yet they have great skill athletes to win a decent amount of games despite it.

I said in the beginning of the year that I thought Georgia would have 3 losses by the end of the year.

Everyone laughed at me. They still might get there.

now they are saying Lindley will "likely" play.

He is a big factor in this game for me.
With him not really being known if he will play, I might sit this week out.

I will have a writeup even if I don't play this game (with at least a lean ... not going on my record) just to help people who want information and my opinion.

I will need more time to digest and see how the injury report comes out.

Right now this game is too much 50/50 for me:

South Carolina (Vandy won on the road 24-17; UK lost at home 24-17)
Florida (Vandy got killed 42-14; UK got really killed 63-5)
Miss State (Vandy lost a game they should have won 17-14; UK won 14-13)
Georgia (Vandy lost in a close one on the road at Georgia 24-14; UK also lost a close one BUT at home 42-38).

I'm taking the rushing dog in this one. I also like Vandy's style of play. Though they had miscues on special teams last week, they make up for it this week (also, did u see who they were playing?) Vandy is a well coached ball club who makes little mistakes. I think that is the key to this game. I say Vandy either wins SU or loses ATS. I do like that they are rushing dogs and I have them only losing by a FG.

as always...aloha.

^ Brooks is a great coach too.

Hall of Famer

Look at what he did for UK.
Turned them from a team on probation and losing seasons into 3 bowl games (2 wins in a row against FSU and Clemson).

Not bad

my fiance is from kentucky and a huge UK fan :103631605

brooks is a great coach and uk has improved HUGE over the last couple of years.

but

you beat 1/2 our team  by 7 pts. hell our long snapper had a sack.

but you did WIN that's what counts. I wouldn't mind a rematch, but I would rather have a more important bowl game.

bol to you and uk (unless your playing fsu)
