Kent State @ Akron

This game looks very lopsided to me. Akron has a very good offense from last year and all 11 players are back at the offensive side of the ball. The last game of the regular season they defeated this same Kent St. on the road 48-10. I know that Kent St. QB Cribbs is very good (1,000 yards rushing & passing two straight years) and that Akron has allowed alot of points, but I see this a a very easy 11 point cover for Akron.
Any MAC people out there with an opinion on this one.

This is the same Akron team that lost to both EMich and CMich last year. EMU & CMU had a combined 3 Ws in the MAC last year -- Akron, with the same offense, accounted for two of those three Ws. Cribbs single-handedly might keep it under the number.

You have a good point Olddog but I think this team was much better at the end of the season last year winning their last three home games which included Marshall. Since the majority of their players are back I think it will carryover to this season and they should be able to cover 11-12 against Kent St. Any other opinions anyone?

Be Careful with Akron. On paper they might look good against Kent St. However, look at what actually happened last year. They were 4-8 winning 4 of their last 6 games (3 at home). They beat Liberty - whoopie. A few weeks later they did beat Marshall with the help of a +6 turnover ratio!! Two weeks later they beat Buffalo (1-11 on the year) only by 11 points (line was -16) with a +2 turnover ratio, and then spanked Kent St with a +4 turnover ratio. I think Akron does have a better team and could very well cover 11 points, but It's a small play at best.
