He was certainly a notable icon and well liked by several generations of Massachusetts voters.

I sure hope that whoever fills his seat in Congress shares his passion for the issues which he most often backed.

good guy.

a "good guy" doesnt leave young women for dead. if me or you would have done that, we'd be in jail ^<<^

he did a lot for this country, but he also did a lot to further his cause. the real shame here is that he didnt die the way mary jo did. a horrible drowning death. but i guess cancer is devastating also. the only thing worse than those two is fire IMO

I met the Senator many times and have several pictures taking with him.

He was a compassionate person and did more that any President did. He was the best public representative that every was.

He was simply more gooder than any one of them and I will miss him. He was a good, descent and charitable person. God bless him.

Mary Jo Kopechne was unavailable for comment.

I'm sure that the left will turn his funeral into a political health care rally.Hopefully it will discust people like it did when Wellstone died.

Yes...for his whole life, he stood up for certain principles (as long as they didn't apply to him as well).

Funny...during Watergate, Kennedy said from the senate floor: "Do we operate under a system of equal justice under law? Or is there one system for the average citizen and another for the high and mighty?"

Guess it was convenient for him to say that at the time, but it sure as hell wasn't when Mary Jo drowned. Oh yeah, let's also not forget his love letters to the Soviet Union in the early 1980s to help them formulate an anti-US PR strategy.

This murderous traitor scumbag has some explaining to do today, and he doesn't have his family to bail him out this time. Good riddance.

Teddy…. BFD

He was the smartest of the 3 political brothers. No sense getting yourself whacked when you can hide in the Senate.

The only reason he became a senator was because he was Joe’s son.

He was a boozer and a murderer.

If there is an after life I hope Kopechne haunts him for all eternity.

The only senator that is a bigger joke is Byrd.

He's going to be buried in Arlington cemetery.

Kennedy betrays his Senate position, President Reagan and America
:

May 14, 1983 document from the KGB archives reveals that Senator Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) reached out to the General Secretary of the Soviet Union’s Communist Party, Yuri Andropov, to propose a kind of public relations strategy to counter President Reagan’s defense policy initiatives toward the Soviet Union, policies that Kennedy felt were too aggressive.

I doubt very many of the Dems here are even aware of the traitorous acts of Teddy, that have now come out of the Soviet archives.

It's been spiked pretty well by the MSM.

I'm expecting an ignorant "Bull shit" comment from Punter on this...he never researches anything.

Thats right Punt...Teddy was in bed with the commies.

Why would I dignify the comments of most of you cocksuckers?

I am sick to my stomach to have read your opinions.

In keeping with the tenor of posts following #4, we'll note that choosing to be a tramp whore for a married man just doesn't always turn out well

It's not appropriate to say that Senator Kennedy murder Mary Jo and other reprehensible stuff about this great person on this here sad day.

For the record, Teddy tried to safe Mary Jo after the car accident and hurt his neck in the process. Let's be more respectful about the death of this great American and knock the other crap off immediately.

This is what I want to say abut some of these here posts. They be wrong and bad in my opinion and should not be tolerated.

I can't think of too many more people that did more to undermine American values than this man.

The scumbag went to bed that night knowing that
a woman was underwater in his car, and then waited until
morning to report it to police.

If I get the chance I will piss on the scumbag's grave.
