The excitement of pulling card #1 out of a pack of Upper Deck back in 89 leans me to Griffey Jr.

To answer the question...

Take everything else out of the equation, Bonds was the better all around baseball player.

Bonds is a lying cheater, Griffey is not.

How do you know? How does anyone know?

So sick of fans and media guys touting who did or didn't do stuff during steroid era. Nobody knows as there was no testing and the era was embraced and guided by commissioner, union, management and even fans.

Taking away bias and ped stuff and just looking at numbers, bonds is the best position player outside of Ruth in the history of the game.

Wow.

2 consecutive posts like this almost gave me deja vu.

Griffey had one of the best swings ever but Bonds is arguably the greatest player to ever play - I'm 40 and Bonds is leaps and bounds the best player I ever saw - now if u want to factor in the drug use that's a different story

Hope Griffey gets in. I have a lot of his cards bought 25 years ago. Still in the box.

Now I have to find them in our storage.

Both were great players and HOFers in my opinion and fairly equal talent wise. When I followed baseball I was a Giants fan so if I had to choose I'd probably go with Bonds but Griffey was just as talented in his prime.
