I'm having a strange problem with Norton Antivirus. When I try to bring it up, it stays up for a second, and then closes/disappears. Cannot get it to open and stay up for anything. Any ideas anyone?

Spysweeper can be found at webroot.com or at Best Buy. Much better than ad-aware or spybot.

If anyone has AOL 9.0 Optimized SE, they put some features on like virus protection by Macafee that can conflict with Nortons Utilities.

I try to daily go into explorer to rid cookies, temps, temp internet, and empty recycle bin. Always performs much better after this. Nortin is solid. I have been receiving a dozen emails per day with viruses. So far, Nortin has provided security against all attempts. Dell techs advised me to rid 3rd party Ad-aware, so i do not use it anymore.

Webroot's Window Washer, Giant's AntiSpyware, Lavasoft's Ad-Aware and AdsGone 2003.

Panda Anti-Virus Platinum Edition.

A recipe for success!

Whenever you surf the web there's always someone trying to cram some crap onto your hard drive. It sucks but there's nothing you can do about it. They should make spyware illegal just like viruses. I could send out a virus and screw up everyone's computer and go to jail for years but if I say it's spyware instead then it's legal.
