It would be funny if Lebron wanted to go to the Lakers but insisted that they get rid of Lonzo so he didn't have to deal with Lavar Ball questions.

Lavar and Lebron are cut from the same cloth. I am sure that's what's appealing to Lebron going to LAL.

Kyrie would make way more $ by waiting a year to sign his extension. And he's saying he just wants to play out the year because it is possible the Celts aren't going to commit to him.

I.e trading him for Kawhi Leonard. He's obviously aware that given their playoff run/his durability issues it isn't 100% that they want to commit 5 years/175 million or a similarly lucrative deal to him.

I know the 85 million reasons why Kyrie won't sign this year, I fully appreciate that.

I don't like the fact that he was a no show for most of the post season and he doesn't talk like he cares whether or not he stays in Boston. He acts non committal to me.

Now I'd love to keep Kyrie, but if they're going to trade assets for Kawhi, then as of this moment I say let it be him. They control Hayward, Brown and Tatum for years to come

I could be wrong but I think he understands how fortunate he was to get dealt to the Celts. If next season ends and they offered him the big $ then I’d be decently surprised if he bolted. But it’s probably hard for him to have more than a nonchalant or canned response about his future when he knows how cutthroat Ainge can be and that the Celts may not be all in on him after coming within 1 win of the finals without him.

As far as Kawhi, I’d deal Hayward for him before Kyrie. I think Brown/Tatum are going to be better than him sooner than later and Kawhi/Brown/Tatum/Hayward would be a little unique in that none of them are really primary ballhandlers. But I would trade either 1 of them for Kawhi. I’d deal Brown for Kawhi too, would be less ideal but the bill is coming due on him in 2 years now as well.

If Kawhi wouldn’t commit to signing then I wouldn’t deal any of these guys for him though so maybe it’s all moot.
