Reasons to play Kansas are as follows:
1. Like Memphis, more excited to play in Bowl game than NC State
2. A victory here would be a major boost to Coach Mango's recruiting
3. NC State has played poorly on the road all year to inferior opponents (see Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, etc)
4. Expectations were much higher for Wolfpack this year and the Tangerine Bowl doesn't get them excited
5. Everybody is talking about how bad defense is for Kansas but this Wolfpack defense could be even worse so play over as well before it jumps
6. NC State is overvalued by the bookmakers all year similar to Rams in NFL
7. NC State thinks if they just show up they will beat this team while Kansas is preparing harder and the effort will be stronger

Good points Kojak, I like Kansas alittle, but one thing scares me about them. That is their 53rd ranked rush Off. This will be a shootout as NC State's Off wont be denied. But if you have to depend only on the passing game of Kansas in this one, they are in trouble. Shut down the run and on obvious passing situations, NC State will tee up on the Kansas QB and may knock him out. If this happens, their goes the Jayhawks, as we all know how ineffective they were without their starting QB at the helm. They are just lucky he returned for the last game or second to the last game which got them the victory to get to this bowl. To spooky right now. But again valid points. Aloha CC.
