what Obama's official economic policy was, he changed it so often, he changed it again today.

He's promising everything to everybody, wants to make sure there's some eye candy just for you :103631605

..Wonder why no politician ever thought of this before. Making promises you know you won't/can't keep.

McCain is going to finally release his Plan here just three weeks before Election Day.

"We need an even bigger bailout from the government and if you elect me, I will make it happen because I believe in smaller government!"

Now this much is true, which is why I'm mocking people who actually believe Obama is going to implement his tax cut proposals.

Obama will have at least 3 more plans before election day.

Stop promising tax cuts that cannot and will not be delivered, do not raise anyone's taxes.

Cut spending across the boards, which actually can be done despite politicians saying otherwise.

I couldn't believe I heard those words coming out of his mouth that he was going to cut taxes.

cutting government spending gonna guarantee the next depression

they will continue to ramp up spending just like the 30s (assuming the rest of the world continues to fund us buying our treasuries)

either way we scroomed.....

as money spent in the private sector continues to dry up

cut spending lfmao....keep dreaming......they will spend and spend till they can't no more

you bush boomers had your 8 years to ramp up spending on low taxes while the china's and japan's fund our debt as we buy their exports

now the time has run out.....

maybe santa claus gonna bring the US a pile of gold this christmas?

Willie, Tiz is weird (hell we all are) but he's not stupid.

Cutting spending is a virtual impossibility with the two major parties pandering to everyone and their goddamn dogs, just to get votes.

I'm more interested in who will legitimately cut the rate of spending increases. Both have no choice. I get what you and Base and the rest of the fiscally conservative brethren are saying here:

Dems with the triumvirate could be like giving a kid keys to the candy store.

Pugs with at least the Executive check on em is desirable (provided the Exec. is truly a fiscal Conservative).

Keep in mind the potential fact that Dems may well have the ability to override any of McCain's spending vetos. It's called blowback for Conservatives. The price to pay is power for 4 years or so.

They fuck it up, you win a landslide in '12. Then the real fiscal guys can take control and clean the shit up (from both sides of the isle).

I would have been on McCains' side (balance check) if not for the absolute joke POS move he made in adding Palin to the ticket. She's a fucking stooge.

We make choices bro. Your guys made a dufus fucking choice. Game over, let's try to live with it.

Trust me, I'll be screaming at BigO to reign in the outlays.

the problem is these idiots throw money at failing shit

it just creates more problems like the new deal

like obama's new proposal includes another 25 bil more for auto

lets see auto losing money on every car they make and will continue to do so....how is this a good investment for our country?

its a dieing industry we've fallen behind the curve nothing is gonna change that...yes it will be a painful process and the pension shit will be a nasty situation.....but it has to happen.....

you are only delaying the inevitable and making our problems worse

fuckin morons

at least spend it on something that has a good chance to give us a long term return on our money

like say wind farms, or nuclear plants, or something like that

i'm against big government spending period but the main reason i'm against it is because big government is stupid....and throws our money into shitty investments.....

these idiots really want a repeat of the 30s under FDR it seems

we deserve what we got coming.....so fuckin stupid......

the commies :)

we just need to fuckin man up and let shitty businesses fail and invest in our future

the more we pump into failing industries like US auto

the larger a grave we are digging ourselves long term

you might as well light 50 billion on fire investing in the US auto industry

there's a reason they need help cause nobody wants to give them any money cause its a bad investment....DUH!!!!

these idiots that think they can outsmart the free markets are well....idiots

I'm with you, them, or anybody that proposes "investing" in real tangible infrastructure or energy independence projects, rather than throwing cash at the fucks in the banking industry.

well the banks necessary to save the system

if they have to man up the banks completely implode and full blown chaos insues.....even all this shit isn't gonna get lending back up to normal for a while....but it allows them time to unwind their zombie market they created......

i hate all the shit they doing but i really don't think anybody quite understands what happens if they don't act.....it would make the 30s look mild as our 62 trillion derivative market implodes

lehman implosion created an estimated 600 billion in losses

we'll get to reform and ending the fed or at least regulating it later :)

they can't stop the depression they just can't

all they can do is throw money at failing industries like auto to give people a job and pension for a few more years dragging out our pain......rather than manning up right here and now....getting our teeth kicked in....and start investing in our future....rather than trying to save shitty businesses

no depression dude, but I agree, they had to act.

I just don't see widespread unemployment this time.

its coming just wait

talk to me in 6 months its not gonna be pretty

plus you have to realize all the other pensions out there at risk

and alot of those pensions tied up in stocks and what not....that are gonna continue to get hammered

like my uncle worked in the printing industry

my mum was telling him you better be prepared to not get anything from it

printing industry dieing

all these union shops are in deep shit as far as the pension shit goes....unions ruined so many industries in this country

and the government not gonna be able to "save" everything

they'll have a tough time just providing food and shelter eventually

something in me thinks this time could be worse honestly.....hopefully i'm wrong......

back in the 30s we didn't have a huge chunk of the population ready for retirement and dependent on entitlements, stock prices, pensions and such to live off of.....even old retired people feeling the pain with the stock market plundge currently

back in the 30s we were very self reliant and had no government aid to speak of prior to the depression

UE pay started than, social security, fannie mae....etc....
