We bought a crib that turns into a toddler bed then into a full size bed. Its more money but our son can have that bed until he goes to college so we figured it was worth the extra price

not sure what state you live in but sign up for the prepaid college fund IMMEDIATELY if you can. I signed up for FL prepaid the 1st day I was eligible and saw the state tuitiion go up about 10% right after. Lock in as soon as the baby is born if you can. These costs will only continue to rise.

I'd recommend a Costco membership for diapers and (formula if you go that route). The storebrand diapers at Costco are Kirkland, they are just as good as pampers and huggies for a newborn. Now that my little one is a little older, we use Huggies to avoid any leaks, but the Kirkland brand are fine for newborns.

When you are looking for a car seat please buy a new one. Not every car seat is made for your vehicle. It is very very important that you get the best one for each car. You can buy them at Toys R Us and try to fit them in your car right in the parking lot. Check thier websites sometimes they have car seat training day and they will show you how to fit it.

Also try to google what car seat might be best for your vehicle. You might have to gey 2 different kinds for your cars.

A car seat saved the life of my little Nephew. It was installed correctly and he survived a bad bad rollover and he is fine.


Awesome news for you. Remember not to flip out when they fall down. They are tougher than you think.

Congrats. I have a 2.5 year old boy and another boy on the way. It is awesome. I have a bunch of UGA onesies, and some that haven't never been wore, so I could send ya some if you are interested. It is very important to start the newborn off on the right track.
