Haven't had time to crunch the numbers, but at first glance this looks like an excellent exploitation of an early line. The house figures that at +8 they can draw in some Carolina action from all the smart people and on Sunday they can mop up because everyone in America is so high on the Eagles right now. Personally I think the Eagles have had an easy schedule so far and are not as good as people let on.

I have to side with Woodyo, Patriot. I will go large on a single game once in a while, but only if everything (statistics, fundamental match-ups, situations) supports it and it looks like an incredible value, not just a "hunch." GL

10% of bankroll is the quick way to the poor house, GL.

Can't disagree with ya Woody.
I'm just sick of shoveling shiitte against the tide. 1 week go 8-2 the next week 2-8 the next week 5-5.
I found the week I go 4-1 the next day I hammer the games and go 1-4.

Or the first day go 1-4 for,Then bet with scared money and go 4-1.

And all the time get the juice ground out.

Week 4 you said that Miami would roll over the Jets ... and that we 'heard it from the Master.'

You've been AWOL since then ... whassup with that?

I played only on NYG this weekend, myself. Didn't like the looks of anything else. However, I don't think you need to limit yourself to one game a week just for the sake of it. That said, 8 or 10 games is sheer dumbassedry. I usually play 3 or 4, that's it. Just depends on what's out there.

Phily aint that great, huh? Well maybe they are not but this Panther defense is
a joke! Their run defense is ranked 31st in the league....159 YPG.

How bout Ruben Droughns (who??) rushing for 200 yards on Sunday.

No running backs -- Davis and Foster both on the sideline. There's a good reason the oddsmaker opened this game...Panthers +8. They stink!

If the Eagles come to play...they can name the score

you guys can call me the rookie with 1 post but I agree with Kramer. I thought Carolina had the best front 4 in football. It looks like they need to take their dresses off and leave their purses in the locker room because they haven't been playing even near good. On the flip side running isn't the eagles strong point. But lets not forget Carolina is 1-3. Starting to look like Tampa and Oakland did after the year after being in the super bowl.

the Eagles are just that good. But 8 points? Taking the 8 is very tempting but betting against the Eagles this year might not be such a great idea, maybe there's better games out there to take a look at.

that what I'm thinking. To me there's just better games. The eagles are 4-0 and their closest game was 10 points. They handed the NY fottball Giants their only loss as well as Minn. Plus they are coming off a bye week.

How about Pittsburg +3. They are playing really well right now.

or

Minn -3. As NO has allready lost to Sea, Ari and TB.

The only team that beats the Birds on Sunday is the Birds. The Kittens MIGHT have a gimpy Stephen Davis back...DeShaun Foster has a broken collarbone, Smith is obviously gone. Plus we remember last year's NFC championship game. Not that it mattered the year before against the Bucs on Monday Night but this game has a little meaning for this group. And again we're healthy...if the Birds get stupid with the playcalling and/or are sloppy after the bye it might be closer.

Safe to say the Vikes and the G-Strings are better football teams than the Panthers right now. I couldn't justify putting money on a team with the majority of the production out or gimpy...much less coming into the Linc. 8 points is a lot of points though...I would say Birds or pass on this one.

The Eagles are money after a bye week though.

This Green Bay team you just watched went into Carolina and beat the Panthers down on Monday Night Football.

The NFL is going to be fun this year!

Carolina could not even beat Denver.

How the hell can you think that they will beat Philly?

They are only 2-2 ATS at home after a bye....When the line is over 7 they are 0-1.
